I wanna add one more income stream as a producer. Instrumental albums/releases! Producers sleep on this, but it’s a nice source of passive income, and you’ll become more visible as you promote those releases. Producers like Metro Boomin’, and 9th Wonder drop them all the time, and some of them are the instrumental versions to actual songs they’ve worked on! 🔥

idk what drugs you smoked metro has never once release and instrumental album. people don’t listen to instrumentals bro😂

bro said all the time too, metro has literally never done that once 😂 people don’t listen to instrumental albums if you don’t have a following why would anyone want to listen to your beats? even if metro made a instrumental album it wouldn’t chart in any way

@@gggz420 I said “all the time” and it wasn’t just about Metro Boomin’. I also mentioned 9th Wonder. But they both dropped multiple Instrumental albums over time, so I’m not sure what’s so funny.

This is the best episode to date, real game on how to succeed in our industry. Add value to whatever space you are in!!!
Proud soundclick user. Made 2 albums off of sound click beats.
I watch yall everytime it drops. Thank you for this session. I'm a producer/engineer and I'm super motivated to not be scared and take chances to make money in what I do. Thank yall so much 💪🏿💪🏿🔥🔥
23:05 That's because the mix engineer is just that important. You have your Pensados, Alges, Braithwaites, Araicas, Joshuas, and many others that are SO vital to the mix.The song could still be a hit without them but it wouldnt hit right (pause) without them.
This was a good episode, super direct and informative. I enjoy the jokes and comparison stuff yall do normally but this was dope and unexpected. Mad respect
Huge fan of the podcast. Tuning in from Nakuru in Kenya, and LJ , keep repping all us FL producers.
Dope episode. I’m a live mixing engineer transitioning to music producer and didn’t i had value to offer the general audience. This was an eye opener
Great content, thanks guys
Can't wait to start this episode when i get the chance later today!
King Of Peace. I really really love you you guys and what you do. It is really changing my life.
Great advice a lot of people needed to hear this
Peace to y’all, great, amazing conversation
This was a really good episode beginning to end.
Great content guys and makes us think about the value of our journey music wise!
really loved this one ❤
Listening from trinidad and tobago, love the content, fills the need for friends that I can actually discuss this sort of thing with.
Each episode always goes so hard. Kinda crazy how big mixing KZread has gotten vs starting with songwriting/ arranging and producing/ or engineering and recording. which I think are infinitely more important and come before. For example I knew years of mixing before I figured out what a hardware pre amp and compressor can do for your sound
Love you guys
Got loads out this one. Nice work, guys 🙌🏻
I don't know what number episode this is, but these 3 cats legends already!!!
Appreciate the consistency of the pod. - Ableton user
DIGIDESIGN CONTROL 24 IS THE FIRST CONTROL SURFACE CONSOLE OF THAT KIND (DARK GREY UPRIGHT UNIT), THEN AVID RELEASED AVID C 24 CONTROL SURFACE CONSOLE (LIGHT GREY UNIT). C 24 IS THE REPLACEMENT FOR THE ORIGINAL DIGIDESIGN CONTROL 24.

one thing i would like to say is starting off as a small artist the best way to grow promote i feel like a video on growth as an artist would be very helpful i find myself struggling with creative ways to not promote the same ways as everyone else watched every episode love the pod guys

Thank you for y'all's opinions y'all are dope I really appreciate y'all's opinions!
It's pretty easy to put together a beat these days. But it's still not that easy to make it sound amazing.. That is all.
Great video peace blessings & Love
You guys have talked about what I've been contemplating for years.. lol.. I have mad jams man, not all hits, but could be.. GREAT video young men.. Outstanding.. LJ, talk louder or use that video by Devvon, vocal rider.. lol.. I have to ride my volume to hear him.. lol
Before we understood the conversion websites, one of the homies had his interface routed where he could hit "record" in Cool Edit and rip whatever audio he was playing through the computer direct into the DAW. To this day I don't know how he was doin it but we just had him going on soundclick and ripping the beat for the session right on the spot.

Best ebay purchase for me is the ISA One
Devvon truly is a goat at mixing and music. I I swear I hear an usher influence. He’s a dope artist. And everybody on the podcast is so knowledgeable about everything. Much love to all the fellow Audio Nerds 🔥🤘FL gang 4 life lol (I was laughing so hard bout being in the soundclick Pirate Bay KZread to mp3 days 😂) …I do wish mix engineers made more, we are a rare breed
Couldn’t be more correct. 20:07 B2B is smart.
you know it is a crowd of young folks when Cubase does not even get mentioned.
That Samson C01U nostalgia😎
26:30 Ya'll forgot to mention DJ MUSTARD he created a sound for the entire West coast that had all the clubs and eveyone running to that sound nation wide.

man my cpu in 2011 was a dell and i was using cool edit pro and you could record any sound playing on the computer. KZread to Mp3 def could have gone

🔥
i’ve deleted so many songs on soundcloud to make room for new ones hahaha
7:40 I kick out KZread to mp3. You can Dl full album with PB or Limewire
Do you have any advice for making money as someone who is a mixing engineer/producer that does not have a fixed studio setup?
I never used KZread to mp3, or ebay. If a client wanted to rip off KZread they would give me the link and I just route KZread to the input of pro tools and press record.
biggupp Courtney straight facts
actually devvon a lot of bigger producers beatstars page will only allow u on some of the mp3 files to reveive 10-100,000 streams, you then would have to upgrade to the next lease to get unlimited streams lol!!
WHERE IS THE SANJAY C INTERVIEW VIDEO?? You guys did an interview in the same room as the one w/ decap and I was expecting to see it as the next episode from that one but it's not out? Sanjay C alluded to it being released in his video "10x BETTER than the original synth!" at 4:15 so what's the deal-io?
Great content. Music producer need to know where do I go from here. Thanks

I STILL have a bunch of songs on Soundclick. I check up on them every few months like they were my children who live out-of-state.
Do you guys know the Ayaic plugin bundle?
the next episode should be about what did Behringer do to Levans ? lol
Found a Roland Jupiter 8 in South Africa for $250
Yo as live audio engineer for the last 6 years that's going back to producing. I will always charge Rap artist the most because with out me I know they have no live show. Where as bands and R&B artist are different. They actually try to put on a show. Usually have musicians with them. But rappers no matter how big don't have a show without their beat maker. Which also speaking of beat makers they need to stop calling themselves producers. On god they giving adtual producers a bad wrap. If you hate producers its because you been working with beat makers.
Soundclick 😂 had forgot all about it
YO DEVON can you let the other guys talk??
Loopback. The answer to KZreadtoMP3 is loopback audio. I'm disappointed. I always had good sound cards/interfaces.
Damn I thought it was still 2011 😅
First
Third
He don't deserve cashapp look how he reacted Devon had to force him to accept
Audio nerds should be a separate channel still saying this till y’all agree with me
Unfortunately, the biggest growing ways for an engineer to make money is to teach themselves out of a job.

Exactly youtube barely had content in 2011. Pirate Bay had everything
Lj bruh…… it’s Johnny JulianOOOO not Julani….. lmao 🤦🏻♂️ Devvon - I bought a M-Audio Axiom 25 in 2007 and it came with Ableton lite so ableton has been around for a LONG time. People just used it for live looping and using digital sounds without having a huge loop board with them. Look up flute looper ableton n look up 2007 it’s dope.
If you ain’t connected to anyone, You not gonna make it. Hopeful thinking.
This is by far the most annoying KZread video I’ve ever watched. I’m nine minutes in and I’m just irritated at the fact that I can’t even hear nobody talk or say nothing because everybody keep like literally talking at the same time like I’m listening to this in the car, and all I hear is blah blah blah blah blah Everybody talking at the same time annoying as hell
