How to make Matcha Traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony (simple) Stay home. Stay well.

This video shows how to make Matcha. It's simplified tea ceremony in the formal setting but simplified without using an iron tea kettle or ladle. However, all the procedures and movements are the same. Enjoy the atmosphere and try to make Matcha like the video.
Focus on doing the movement. By practicing without thinking anything just making tea leads us to total peace. It's Way of Tea, 茶道; Sado/Chado, sometimes 茶の湯

Thank you The Sushigirl109! The manners and behaviors of tea ceremony has not been changed over hundreds of years since Sen no Rikyu completed it around 1590. While making tea, I feel nothing and there's silence with moderate sense of tension . I wish I could serve you tea. Hope your book will be a great success!

This is why I love the Japanese. They do things in a clean and elegant way and are very balanced. A typical American watching this video would blow out yelling out: Just make and pour that damn stuff, you are wasting so much time. If an american was making tea, they would be sloppy, rushing, and would make quite a mess. For a country like America that claims it's the best in the world, they sure don't have the manners and the piece to go along with it.

Thank you Bronos X! I am glad that you enjoyed my video. When we are stressed, tea ceremony can be a tranquilizer. Quiet and peaceful. Tea ceremony is said to be essence of Japanese manners and art. Bowing, using both hands for showing respect and etc... These manners and behaviors have not changed over 450 years. We practice until muscle memory. While we are doing tea ceremony, there is moderate sense of tension and peace. Tea room seems to be another world. I wish you could serve you tea.

Bronos X nice assumptions about Americans... I'm personally enjoying watching this video and wish I had the time to sit down and be able to do this myself let alone have the proper equipment

Nice comment! I don't blame those people. :) I went to tea ceremony lessons for 15 year after work. Sometimes I was so busy and exhausted and wanted to skip. However, once, I stepped in the room, it's totally different world. I could leave everything out of the room. Then after lesson, I felt so calm and relaxed. Thank you for your comment! Hope you and your family are doing well. Stay well.
