Making tater tots at home is easier than you think. Skip the freezer aisle and follow along as Nicole shows you how to make the crispiest, homemade tater tots! This stovetop recipe uses boiled and grated russet potatoes to make a batch of crispy and easy to make tots that beat the taste of the frozen ones. After grating and tossing with flour, salt, parsley, pepper, and onion powder, roll the gratings into the shape of tater tots. Once rolled, fry the bite-sized snacks in peanut oil until they’re golden brown.

You can use cornstarch for a crispier crunch. You're welcome.

I used a mixture of cornstarch and rice flour. So it is crispy and bonus it is gluten free.

Tasty❤!
You are an expert tot roller. Mine look like a Parkinson’s patient made them while balancing on a yoga ball.
Thank you I love you
Made this today but couldn't get my tots to shape so I made hashbrown patties. The onion powder really taste good on them.
Looks good from Texas
Great idea, Nicole and thanks for the tutorial! I am tempted to make them and after rolling, spritz with a light spray of oil and pop them in the air fryer. Wonder if that would be acceptable and save some calories? My Ninja gets things really crisp so I will give it a try! Thanks again for the great idea!
Would this recipe still work if you wanted to make them in an air fryer as opposed to in oil? If not I'm still making these, thank you!!!
Bring it on Nicole. Boy do those look good. Move over Sonic. ha ha
Need to bring back the mobile app.

Yes they do.
This is literally my first time watching that I am smiling and grinning to rip the store off my money for the tots :). Thanks for the videos
These do look delicious, but where are you shopping that they only let you buy one bag of tots at a time?? Tots are always in the grocery store freezer in my neck of the woods.
Baking soda or cornstarch in your water will crisp them real nice
You would've made a better Wonder Woman than Gal Godot. Great personality. Thanks for the recipe, can't wait to try it!
I 💙 tater totts
I'm thinking this could be my all time favorite youtube channel. You had me at "never met a potato I didn't like." If I was a man I would wanna be your husband...Does that make sense?🥰 Lol, just looking forward to your recipes.
Can you put it in the air fryer ?
Can you make these in the oven? I am fearful of frying and don't make it a practice
Can we air fry these?
By the way I don't like frozen tots 🤣 but yours look 😍😍
Can you freeze homemade Tater tots for future use?
You must of cooked the store bought tots from frozen. Thaw them before cooking in oil, they will be as crispy as homemade
This channel won't be so successful if it wasn't for you. You are so cute and funny. I love the way you explain the recipies. This channel have recipies with another woman's, not the same. You have something on you that makes people like the recipies. If I see a recipe that I like and a scrunch chef is explaining it, I turn it off. For me, the success of any recipe depends on who is explaining the process. Thank you.
Look really good but buying them is better less work. Lol
Pls tell us non americans what russet potatoes are.

It's not exclusive to America, lol. They can be called Russet or Idaho. For this recipe it's not essential to have Russets though, they are a pretty standard potato without any special texture or flavor. They are usually relevant only if size in concerned. So just pick any potato variety you like. More floury ones work great.
Good luck with peanut oil.
Drives me crazy why everyone peels them
_Waaaaaait_ a minute! Where's the really tiny bits of onion?? Do store bought Tater Tots _not have_ real onion in them? Seriously, I don't buy them so any info. is welcomed, thanks. I'm still using real onion idc!! 😂😂😂😂
Delicious 😋,stay connected, stay blessed 😊#lifefusion69
