When I went to Brest France there was this pizza joint that had wine bottles on the tables with oil and herbs that you would pour on your pizza. They would use the whole branch that was dried and placed upside down in the bottle. Will do this this week. Thank you for allowing me to remember this.

Well in the 4 years I been infusing my oils I never thought of the crockpot method. Thank you for this because this will now be my go to for when I get custom orders because in a regular I have a 5 gallon plastic jug that I use to infuse my oils and I let it sit for at least 3 months before I bottle it to sell or put in my cosmetics. Thanks for your tutorial because I now learned a quicker method

I am really interested in producing my own lip balm/salve products but have never infused my own herbal oils. I am assuming that even a qt jar would yield enough oil to make alot of 1 oz tins of balm/salve, yes? Thanks...just trying to estimate the amnt of oil/herbs I would need to get started. LOVE your videos!

I'm new to this, but I think the problem is that as the oil is used up and the top of the herbs are exposed to the air, they can mold. You never want your herbs to be sticking up above the level of the oil. I think that's the reason for removing them.

It may not work too well since they’ve been made into powder. There’s less oils in powder (if any). You want those oils and nutrients from the dried herbs to infuse into the oil.
