I can see it now…”The cheese twins cooking show”. Would give Julia Child a run for the money!😊
I love love LOVE that you don't freak out about the little cross-contamination --- such level-headed practicality is refreshing. And thanks for the real talk about the variations and preferences and differences between cheeses...and why they turned out that way. It's extremely helpful. P.S. More cheese videos please!!

New here! Love your intro!! I have a dairy goat and started making cheese. We lived in Canada 15 years. We met at Prairie Bible College back in 1969
Beautiful smoke cheese
Love this ladies how they explain it ❤❤❤❤❤
It was so nice of you to use american measurements! Thank you!
Mmmm...gouda cheese is one of my favorites, I have a hunk of smoked Gouda in my fridge right now! This video makes me appreciate its goodness all the more!❤️
YAYAYAYAY!! A new cheese video!! These are my absolute favorite videos!! You are one of the few people that actually use goat milk so your videos are priceless to me. Do you have any plans to come out with a cheesemaking cookbook?

Thanks a lot, that's really sweet! We don't have plans for a cookbook. We use Home Cheesemaking by Riki Carroll.
Nice!. Hello from Calgary
Your whole family is such a breath of fresh air!
2/2/24: Ab Fab! Im a beginner and you are the standard that I am going by! Ive found the descriptors you give are helpful markers for me to watch/look for, INCLUDING the comment on other bacterias that may, or may not,. be introduced, which could impact your final result. Really wonderful vids! Im a 65 yr old California fangirl!! Im going to make my first bath of Gouda, then going to make Brie (yes, as a beginner, Im daring like that!). Hope I can eventually make a double, or even tripe cream Brie! (one can only wish, right?)

I’m excited to find a great channel and your from Alberta as well. Your cheese cave is a dream. Keep making the detailed how to. Most of the videos on KZread don’t give enough info for the beginner or intermediate type maker so thank you for showing everything.
Very good thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉

Wonderful! Hope you stick around!
So I messed up, and my outside molds in my cave have turned black, brown, pink… I’m going to start over sadly… I really struggle with my failures, as it’s money lost in my mind, time from milking, and obviously all the prep and storing… Nice to see how calm you both seem with some errors
The cheese looks so delicious. You broke my heart when you said you didn’t sell it. Now I’m going today to buy some Gouda from my store. Interesting video!
Our Lord bless you and your loved ones in abundance!!

I adore the cheese making videos! I love cheese and wish I could make my own cheese, but I don't have the setup yet. Maybe one day. And just maybe one day I could con y'all out of one of yours. 🤣
I am starting my journey with sheep cheese. I loved your video. So you think sheep milk would need the same ratios? Thanks so much.
What colloidal silver brand do you use? And what ppm is the silver you add to help prevent yeast growth in fresh pressed cheeses? And what % hydrogen peroxide do you recommend and how much per gallon of milk to add? I have not had success getting these answers on google. Ive had trouble with yeast in cheese for years... And this is the first ive heard of ways to possibly prevent it! Thanks in advance!
My first time watching a homemade cheese video, very concise and easy to follow. Great job. Maybe I missed it, after vacuum packing, out the door you went to storage? Where? Freezer, cool cellar, pantry, refrigerator? What is best please. Not that it would last long here. I grew up in Minnesota where cheese, sausage, and brats are 3 of the 5 major food groups. 😃 TYFS

Thanks! Yes, it went out to our storage fridge: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pqB4laWcZa3NXdY.html
I am debating on what cheese to try next. Gouda, Asiago, or cheddar! I’ve had cows since 2018 but was kind of intimidated by cheesemaking so I only made things like mozzarella, quark, etc. The “easy” ones. I’m ready to branch out! My butter cheeses have been turning out great so I think I’m ready!
Löcher im Käse bedeuten Käsekulturen wie " Tilsiter". Evtl l ist es hilfreich in der Küche länger Essig im offenen Topf zu kochen . Das reinigt die Luft .
Such a great tutorial, thank you! I've done your Belper Knoll lots, your cheddar (turns our wonderful) and I think I'll try this, it doesn't look too hard-we only have a heat smoker, would that destroy it? Anyhow, we so appreciate your wonderful educational videos, thanks you lovely girls! Mary Kay and family
@fourseasonsnorth
Жыл бұрын
Hi Mary Kay :) yes, if you use a heat smoker that could possibly get it too hot and melt it... We have gotten ours too hot sometimes, and it's still good, but it just gets a 'cooked-ness' about it and doesn't age as usual. If you can do something to keep the heat down that'd be best (a rule of thumb we use: if it's too hot for your skin it's probably too hot for the cheese). All the best! super glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for commenting :) Bless you guys!

@@fourseasonsnorth Thank you so much!
could the dryer one be because of the dry brine and not the wet brine? just curious
Did you say what temperature you smoked it at?
I am new to cheese making.. is it normal for the cheese to have a squeaky or rubbery texture??
Is that hot or cold smoke?
You had me at Jesus Christ with a mix of gouda... just saying.
Could you water bath the brine?
What are you lining your press with? It seems to be more ridged than traditional cheesecloth.

So gorgeous beautiful woman
Sacrilege and blasphemy, making Gouda form goat's milk.
1:26 but how? God has son? Just like us human beings? How is God supposed to be like his creatures!.. So you worship God AND son?! What happens when they have a disagreement who decides who's right then?! Loved the cheese tho btw!!..

F. M. Amein the better question is: Why does Almighty God have a son? Truly, God Almighty has no need for a Son other than for the purpose of acquiring a human body so he could die on the cross for our sins. Are you mocking this? Why? Why is this truth mocked as being "impossible," or utterly offensive? Because people are proud, they don't like or want a God that is humble, they want a God that is as mighty as they wish they were, and as proud as they are. They don't know that God the Father never asks us to do what he himself won't do. God is not a hypocrite. He tells us to be humble, because he is humble. His humility is what keeps his great power under control. He is so humble that he himself became a man, his own Son, Jesus, to die for us, thus proving his great love for us. Meanwhile, Satan, God's enemy, is proud and tells people the lie that they can become a god through forbidden knowledge, and he demands they offer selfish sacrifices to him, like child sacrifice, something God hates. God tells us, his sheep, that we are to lay down our life for our friends, like he did, and that because evil people desired to kill him, they would also desire to kill us, so we are to go to the slaughter for his name's sake, just as he did for us. Do you now see "why" God became a man, his own Son, Jesus? Now undoubtedly, you will mock and say it's "impossible" for God the Father to be his own Son, much less become a man. Those who say this don't know who God is, for nothing is impossible for God Almighty, and they don't love him for his humility, so they make idols for themselves. I hope and pray you will humbly ask Jesus to reveal the Father to you, and he will, just as he did for his disciple Philip and for me.❤️

If you were The Creator, wouldn't you want to come down as a human? I would. And, the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross ended animal and even human sacrifices.
We pronounce it Gowder not Goooder in UK where im from, still the same stuff like, tastes very nice
