How to Make Floating Tensegrity Table from Cardboard | Simple DIY

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Cool and simple craft to make during this corona time. Use cardboard from old boxes to create this stunning floating table that works on the tensegrity principle. Use simple ingredients to create this at home :-)

Thank you for the detailed directions. I've seen other tensegrity videos that show how to do it, but no details.

Nice guide. I selected your video to guide my first attempt, making it a Pa & grandson summer project. I used foam core board instead of corrugated and heavy fishing line, and built to the dimensions here. Everything worked fine and we have two nice tables to show for it.

This is clearly a bot the dimensions don't work at all if you do it in person you'll see it doesn't work at all.

Very nice! I'm going to use 10 mm MDF board instead of 2x 5 mm cardboard with your instructions. Hoping it works. Thanks for sharing your design & creation

Tip... make the 5×5 triangles first and you can use them as a template to plot where the support arm on the leg needs to go.

  • @diydesigner5766

work with the measurements in the video and you won't need the other numbers :-) also the measurements are not that important as long as the center cable ends up in the middle of the table. Thats basically the only important thing :-)
