For some reason, I feel like you’d be a great actor because your just have so many different tones and give us so much detail!! Some tips for jet lag: As soon as you get on the plane, set your watch to your destination and sleep according to that time. Once you arrive, if it’s night time, go straight to bed and wake up in the morning, nice and refreshed. If it’s the middle of the day, drop your bags off at the hotel or wherever you’re staying and leave immediately so you don’t fall asleep. Then go exploring around town and come back at around six so you can sleep at an acceptable time and be refreshed for the next day!

I'm Romanian, learning English since my parents bought a colour TV in '90 alongside with Tom and Jerry, Dexter Laboratory , Life with Louie cartoons and so on. I did have very results in the school but with your British English techniques nowadays British people always telling me : you've got a good English accent, from where you're coming from ? I could called myself a British, even that I wasn't born here. But my English, by far, and thanks to your lessons, improve me for who am I am today. Many thanks for your content ☺️ !

Thank you for such an interesting and informative video !!! In some cases, such small talks with new people might lead to long conversations with them, making it difficult to come out of it. Could you please make a video on how to politely end a conversation : (1) that has crossed the limits? (2) that is about irrelevant or meaningless topics? (3) that we wonna end just because we're too busy? (4) that we find the other person is quite inconsistent with their thoughts, ideas and topics which they have chosen to talk about?

Very good video. Love that - Talk about the weather and everybody's health! The best way to get good at it is to practice. Put yourself in situations where you have to small talk and continually objectively analyze your performance, during the talk and after. Its hard at first but after practice, your conversation becomes genuine and flawless. Some things that need to be added. • The most important thing about small talk and making yourself likeable is to remember that people love to talk about themselves. • So ask about them without being intrusive. • Secondly, when someone tells you about their something or other, dont say "Oh yeah, I completely identify, because I had this, and that and the other..." proceeding talk about yourself. So what you did is after asking them a question about them you pivot to yourself, doing exactly what people hate. • Provide feedback to their answers. When they say they went to hawaii dont say something like "Cool" but instead "Did you get to climb any volcanoes"? • Have to be careful when you ask questions, not to seem mechanical, fake and artificial - huge turnoff

Since you asked about jet lag tips, here's two: If you're traveling a very long distance and have the time available, make a stop part way through and acclimate yourself to the time changes in stages. For example, one a trip from Tennessee to Sydney I stopped for a couple of days in Hawaii. It really helped. Even better is to try and arrive at your destination in the evening. Travel tends to make people tired and arriving in the evening allows you to get right to sleep then wake up refreshed and on the local schedule. The longer the travel time, the better this will work.

In Brazil we still don't know when our "freedom day" will be, but I know that today is a "freezing day" in the city of Curitiba (southern Brazil), oh my God, today it's 5ºC. If you visit Brazil, come to Curitiba, it's Europe within Brazil, we even have a London red telephone in Parque Gomm (Gomm Park) , really. haha I love Curitiba, but this week is freezing.

@@margaridamartins8361 Brazil is a continental country (It's the 5th largest country in the world), in southern Brazil, mainly in state of Rio Grande do Sul always snows in winter. I live in Curitiba, it's in state of Paraná, here has snowed twice (1975 and 2013), today isn't snowing here, but it's very cold, today is 4ºC. I was watching the news, maybe it'll snow here tomorrow. Oh Gosh

@@willianrom Southern Region of Brazil amazing. I love it. I'm from sri lanka it is a tropical island in indian ocean. So we can never see snow. Because we don't have winter. The hill country is so cold but the snow does not fall. Rarely can frost be seen in the morning.
