I’m normally rubbish at small talk, so I like to pretend I’m interviewing a celebrity when I talk to someone new, or when I’m feeling nervous about what to say. Somehow, it helps me to engage and get over my nerves.

Hey! Lucy, you like a wizard, and your lessons is like a magic wand for me. I have no person to make a practice in speaking. I make the speed of your video on 50 percents slowly and repeat each speech I heard. It helps me to find each unfamiliar word an phrase and increase my vocabulary in right pronunciation. After the first watch, i put the speed setting like it used to be, and repeat this video again. Maybe for someone it would be a good advice. Cheers from Russia. P.s. we a peacefully than you think) Oh, I guess you don't think about it. P.s. I was in Phuket last winter too. It was tremendous beautiful, especially in a Promtep Cape and on Phi Phi islands.

Thanks for the video packed with such useful content. The amount of work and dedication you have put into its preparation definitely can’t escape one’s notice! Your mention of pierogi is worth elaborating on. Mind you, the correct pronunciation of ‘pierogi’ is /pʲɛˈrɔgʲi/ - with /g/ not /dʒ/. The word “pierogi” which is widely used in English comes from the Polish language, not Ukrainian. This said, there is a Ukrainian variety of the dish called varenyky. Also, the dough used for preparing pierogi does not have potatoes in it. Maybe what you had in mind was “knedle” - potato-dough dumplings popular in Central and Eastern Europe, especially in Czechia.

Lucy I love your videos, but most of these questions seem bizarre to ask either old friends or people you just met. I can hardly imagine that's what a real conversation looks like, and definitely more like interview questions or questions on an English test. I think it is way the questions were phrased (double questions in one sentence). I would love to see a video where you touch on how to ask follow-up questions, keep the conversation going by chiming in on a common topic, etc., instead of just focusing what an open-ended question looks like. Still very informative video :)
