Thanks for this video, now i have made around 10-20 patches. Really easy to do too, i skipped using a printer cause it's much cheaper to just draw the band logo off my computer screen.

SOME ADVICE: i mostly do embroidery on my vests, been digging the stamp patch style lately, i made few of my own but they ended up degrading really fast because (A.) Unfinished sides mean unraveling of the patch, so use an antifray glue on the edges, a crap ton of paint, or sew half an inch in on to your vests. (B.) Make sure to use black, dark navy, or a blood red as your base fabric color, cause its gonna get dirty as fuck when youre moshing against 90 other sweaty dudes in equally dirty vests, and its gonna show. An intricate white patch is gonna get fucked.(C) not a problem i faced, but make sure you use a waterproof paint like acrylic or fabric paint, or else your patch will bleed when wet. Good luck dudes

Soo I’m not punk myself but my husband is, I know he has told me a lot of punks really pride themselves on doing all their own stuff on their own (sewing patches on, studding jackets vests pants, etc) but would it be weird if I helped him make these patches? His eyesight is god awful but if I just cut the stencils/traced them..it wouldn’t like seem bad right? Like he can paint and put them on the fabric and cut out his own sized cloth for it.. (Sorry if im not wording this correctly.)

@@sidthejovian5105 Dont know if you already did one but if not here is a tip: Some one told me to make the first layer of the paint white because I dont have red fabric paint for dark cloth and it wouldn't be visible otherwise. If you plan to do that let the white paint layer dry or else it will mix up a bit with the red dye and it will look kinda pinkish. Seems obvious but I was to dumb to figure it out myself. Alsoooo if you just learned after several weeks that printer ink is expensive, Instead of printing the logo, you can simply find the image on your screen, (computer or large tablet) To the life size size you want your patch to be, then put lined or printer paper over the screen with tape or a clip, and trace the logo, Then continue with steps after printing in this video.

Honestly I always just draw and paint them free hand 😭 Also I like to do a super light coat of acrylic paint on the back cause I find it makes it more sturdy and easier when sewing on

I don't have the money for most of these materials :( I think ill have to stick with cutting up old (and suprisingly durable) jeans and putting black 1 dollar nail polish as base and going over it with paint and putting them on to my battle jacket with saftey pins cause thats all i have. It actually works pretty well..Just cant have it out in rain. so if anyone else doesn't have the materials either...i suppose this is a good idea too I've been doing things on my own with no help or that much inspiration for a few years and for some reason now all of the sudden i look for inspiration :,)

Did this one time with a Totalitär patch. Took very long but the result was awesome. After years it's still on my vest. Gonna use that technique again after i can't find any Krigblåst patches. Yup i bought them most of time back then. Always looked where they came from. All of my patches are made in germany by punks with machines or other equipment. So the money goes too punks again, that's ok for me. Or i bought them directly from the bands when i saw them live, my favorite ones are my Doom and Days n Daze patch.
