Your welcome! That's why I chose this method to start with, we already had a soldering iron and the supplies didn't break the bank. Have fun creating!! I would love to hear about what you make.

I can’t buy a adaptive solder iron…will a 100w solder iron so the thing?
I Love it 😍 May I ask Where do you perches the black back copper tape or any good copper tape from 🌙 ✨
I have looked a lot of places and googled different ways, but I can't find a burnishing stick that looks like that flat white one with a blunt end like yours. All I find are metal ones. Where did you get the one you have?
Hi! Thanks for the tutorial. I'm excited to give it a try. Love how they turned out. Can I ask -- what's your ventilation set-up like? I'm not sure what sort of fan/vent to invest in.

I have a box fan in my window facing outward, the door shut (its a bathroom), and the bathroom fan on. I also wear a respirator.

I didn't want her to get a burn so I don't let her help me with this. She helps me string beads though :)
What size copper tape are you using? Do you mind sharing your vendor?
I did this to a quartz crystal and after a week the cap came off. How do I prevent this from happening?
I have done similar top to glass. They do not stay. Fall apart after about 2 to 3 weeks

I have had some that are over a year old and get worn regularly. My favourite one gets worn at least once a week, and it looks new. You have to make sure to clean the crystal (or glass) very well to remove any oil from your hands and making sure to burnish it VERY well is a must. Also maybe the glass is too smooth to have a cap stay on well, I find with a crystal it's uneven and irregular, and I feel like that helps keep it from falling off.
Are the jump rings silver plated or sterling Silver?

This one are plated
can I do that with silver grain?
@wednesday2222

no, silver grain has a higher melting point and requires different tools and techniques.

what kind of copper tape?

I tend to use the black backed copper foil tape, I use 3/8, but 1/4 is usually recommended, it lasts ALONG time, im still on my first roll from 1.5 years ago lol, I cut the width down often.

Hi there, does the copper tape would turn into rust or it doesn't? thank you for the video ❤✨

Copper does not rust, and if it's completely covered by the solder it won't turn green

@@wednesday2222will the solder iron rust instead?
You ever thought of using a vise?! Does not look crash hot with all the solder smacked right on top like that. Besides all this will corrode over time and that bale will develop weakness over time. Good idea but you need to refine the finish of this so badly! I would wrap some decent copper or silver thickish wire around the copper wrap and make a bale at the top .. a much more better looking and durable solution.
