My late husband was a gifted cook/ chef. He taught me to make cocktail sauce using these same ingredients Plus a dash of Worcestershire. What a treasure, this simple recipe. Thank you for sharing. Plus, you can add extra or less of a preferred ingredient.

so sorry for your loss
This is really, really good. To hell with buying cocktail sauce ever again. I probably ended up with 3 Tbsp of horseradish. If it doesn't make you go "Wow", then it's just sauce...
I also add some Siracha for more kick. Love this stuff.
Just made it. Added a little bit of Old Bay seasoning. It was better than store bought. No more store bought cocktail sauce for me, I always added more horseradish anyway. Thank you Thank you.
I have used your recipe several times. My husband loves it and I love not having to keep cocktail sauce with a bunch of preservatives around! Thanks!
I don't usually say this about KZread recipes but this is spot on. Tastes EXACTLY like store bought sauce.
i give this video a thumbs up! 👍🏼

Thank you so much I knew you would have what I needed I wanted some shrimp tonight and I found your video can't thank you enough wish me luck 😂
Very good. Thanks for recipe. Ron
Shrimp (or oysters) are nothing than a vehicle for getting the cocktail sauce from the bowl to the mouth. Yum!
I prefer to use Heinz Chili Sauce when I make it, have used Ketchup to though. Hard to tell the difference, but it was the way I was taught when I first made it.

When I started to read this had the thought of using chili sauce.
Thawing out some shrimp now. Ran out of cocktail sauce and I'm too lazy to go to the store, ... gonna give this simple recipe a whirl! (Liked & subscribed).
Yummy!
Nice 👍🏽. I'll give it a go.
This is great, I hate buying Cocktail Sauce because it always goes bad before I use it again....hardly ever use it. Now that I make my own fresh Ketchup; I can now make enough Cocktail Sauce for a meal and won't have anything left to waste
Nice 👍🏾👍🏾
Yum😋
Great thank you
"Prepared horseradish will last (in your refrigerator) indefinitely." But, in my house, it won't last long enough to even have the thought of spoilage enter my mind, LOL.
Fellows, hot mustard powder, ie hot mustard for chinese BBQ pork, works great as a horseradish substitute.
Ad a little celery salt, it just makes it. Your sauce is what I make all the time. You have great taste.
Thank you sir
Worcestershire sauce, interesting. I've never tried that.
Thank u!
Hi. very good recipes. I am subscribed to your channel♥️👌🌷👍👍😁
nice video...do you do voice over or is it all live with microphone.
Oh ya 🤤🤤🤤
Thank you making a how to video that is just that .
I worked at a restaurant that made the best cocktail sauce I’ve ever tasted. Ketchup, horse radish, Tony chachere’s, and the weirdest but most important ingredient: a little bit of Sprite.
Nice :-)
Merci pr cela
Can we use ginger instead of horseradish? Please help!
1:00 Nailed it.
This is my go to, but i do add a bit kf garluc and onion powder to it
Lil bit of louisana is good too
yeeeee
E-z 👍. Might add a few red chili 🌶 flakes. Doing it tonight . Bought some holy moly huge shrimp today (6), weighed 1/2 pound ….
Just finished eating shrimp cocktail using your sauce recipe. First bite opened my sinuses. The second bite set my scalp on fire. Added more catsup. It was good.

Can I store it in a bottle long term or will it go off?
That is the best cocktail sauce. Some help: worse-ta-sure. ::wink::
I like your videos and recipes. Are you going to keep posting? Haven't seen a new one in a while.
I learned one thing they used at Marriott add a touch of Jack Daniels to it. Stir then set. Tummie
Can we use ginger paste instead of horseradish?
can we use paste of horseradish?
I prefer the horseradish sauce with the mayo in it. It makes for a creamier cocktail sauce. I've never used Worcestershire sauce. I'll try that next time. Thanks for the tip!
Make my cocktail sauce the same way, but with a couple shots of Tabasco.
I hate to correct you, but horseradish does NOT last 'indefinitely'. After a few months it starts to lose it's heat. The good news? I've found that using a vac pack machine with a 'Ball jar' lid sealer counteracts that. (leaving it just like an unopened jar)
Add Heinz Chili Sauce, White Pepper,2-3 Fresh Garlic Cloves, you'll Plip and in joy
Valentina ftw
Additionally there’s no high fructose corn syrup 👊🏻💪🏻
You sound like Arlo!
Is this the guy from RuffHouse Studios?
Add Franks to it for a little kick.
What do you call the last recipe you put? Can u type here
I feel dumb for looking this up lol it’s so easy
What if you don’t have the Worcestershire sauce?
Early?
1:00 Woshtshtshtara sauce
prepared horseradish does not last indefinitely. it's good for 3-4 months.
I have been making my own sauce with a similar recipe for years. I would NEVER buy a jar at the store. Sometimes there is a container with shrimp cocktail and I throw it away!
Can this cocktail sauce be used for crab cakes?

I plan on using for my salmon paties. Better than tarter sauce.
Honestly didn't have to watch this video to know how to mix ketchup and horseradish. But thanks
Okay, but how do I make ketchup?
Washyoursister sauce
Nice and easy my ass! Who in the world has these ingredients just laying around? Other than ketchup. Easy and simple, oh please

Why you can keep it in refrigerator only up to a week ? Ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice ( from a bottle)all these ingredients have a long shelf life, but mixed together only good for a week ? Why ?

Flour lasts months in the cupboard. So does sugar. Eggs over a month in the fridge. Butter lasts months. But mix them all together into cookie dough and it lasts only about a week before going moldy. Just the way it works. Maybe something to do with the pH? I don't know, I'm not a scientist. But if you want to keep it for months, go ahead. I've not had that luck.

Getting the prepared horseradish right is key to this. I don't know why but a lot of commercial brands are terrible.
If he's using store-bought ketchup it likely has high glucose corn syrup. I'd use tomato paste instead.

Kyle They do sell ketchup with no corn syrup. That’s my go to ….
All i have is horseradish sauce :/
