Chef Bao Bao of Greenpoint restaurant Baoburg shows us how to make pork gua bao in the MUNCHIES Test Kitchen. These perfectly steamed buns are light, fluffy, and filled with sweet and savory slow-cooked pork belly.
Born and raised in northern Thailand, Chef Bao Bao grew up eating bao and calls them "genius." We agree. They're a perfect snack (or meal) any time you're hungry.

I got hooked on these when I was working in Taiwan. When I got back to Texas I taught myself how to make them- my favorite variation on this classic is using beef cheek barbacoa with a cabbage and carrot slaw and oytster/chili sauce reduction

tried the recipe and I was extremely pleased. I had tried another youtube recipe and the meat dry and not at all as good as this recipe. The other recipe took hours of tons of prep work and yet the end results were nothing compared to your recipe. Brilliant!!

This is an amazing recipe and a amazing cook.
I am planning on doing a cooking day with a big group of friends once a month. I think this is going to be my first dish! Thank you for the excellent step-by-step!

I've seen another you tube channel 'Marions Kitchen' I found this version easy to follow and my one came out really good, was my first time trying hhis recipe and even making the dough. Nothing wrong with this Munchies version but prefer the Marion one more
