This is exactly how my Daddy used to make cubed steak w/ white gravy and creamed potatoes when I was growing up, right down to the iron skillet. He'd always add a green veggie and dinner rolls to complete the meal. God rest his soul.

Rachel, my 4 grandsons and I absolutely love chicken fried steak with gravy and potatoes. We follow your videos and make several good meals. As a teacher to my grandsons we practice fractions i.e. 3/4 cup, to this or that which gives them better understanding of math so their grades in math are good and they can see what measures look like. Your an excellent cook and great teacher. Tonight we are having your chicken fried steak. I'm making videos of our cooking and hope we can send you videos as we make your recipes. Again thank you for teaching us your good recipes using exact measurements with room to adjust to our liking. I really think you and Ron would enjoy seeing my boys cook your meals.

I am learning to cook again and following your KZread examples. Tonight, I made your fabulous Chicken Fried Steak and cleaned my area as you did. Thank you for your step to step examples! Heather, I made this today for brunch and I followed every step which is very unusual for me but I knew how this would make hubby soooo happy. In the past I've failed at this...losing breading; soggy; tasteless; tough. Today it was a 10. So, I am doubly proud...a recipe that knocked it out of the park and the fact that I actually followed a recipe. LOL Do it, you won't be sorry.

@@vickialway4722 No, you won't. If you can't get cube steak get a top round and cube it yourself which is what did and it was very tender. To cube it just take a really sharp 'carving' knife and cut slits every quarter inch then cross cut....turn over and repeat. just be carefull about how far your meat will allow you to cut into its thickness. You can do it, Vicky....promise. Watch her video 3 times...the go for it! That's what I did. And, the left over piece was slowly heated and made into a chicken fried steak burger for hubby who LOVED it.

Miss Rachel thank you!! I LOVE chicken fried steak!! I also love the steaks in a gravy with blended green Chile and garlic. Yummy!! My mama always taught me to use bacon drippings to cook with!! Delicious especially in cornbread meat sauces like this and a dab in grits and some vegetables like green beans

I know this video is from 2 yrs. ago but I wanted you to know that I just made this and it was the most delicious chicken fried steak I've ever had! I also made it with mashed potatoes and white gravy. I've made white gravy before and always used bacon grease and it's always been good but the gravy was so flavorful using the seasoned flour from the dredging flour! I made cold pea salad instead of corn. So so good! Thank you Rachel!

That’s exactly how I make mine, except I sprinkle in creole seasoning to the flour and for the cream gravy I add a teaspoon of better then chicken bullion. 😋
