Thanks Grant! My son needed to give a presentation about a mystery object to his first-grade class. He chose a butter churn; used a French press to demo the mechanics; then got his classmates to shake a jar of cream into butter. It was a real hit (and the butter tastes awesome).
R.I.P your legacy will live on
Put a clean marble in it and shake it until you can't hear the marble rattling, then take a break and shake the jar until you can hear the marble again. then you'll know when it's fully done 😀😀 Hope this helped

My heavens that opening shot of Grant really pounding out that cream is a killer! 🤣🤣🤣. 😥Miss you THE REAL King of Random!
Use sour cream, instead of fresh cream. (No, don't go buy a large container of sour cream, make your own.) Get a SMALL container of sour cream, and add a teaspoon to a tablespoon (for a large bottle) of cream, and leave on the counter overnight. You can also use CULTURED buttermilk, for the starter. In 12 to 24 hours, the cream will have turned into sour cream. Now, make sure you have bottles that are about 3/4 full of sour cream, fresh from the counter. You'll need to shake for 1 to 3 minutes, and you've made "European Style" (or $5.00/pound) butter. Yes, I do. All the time. Couple weeks ago, a local store had heavy manufacturing cream, for $2.50 a half gallon. Poured it into 3 quart canning jars, and turned 2 of them into a quart of butter, and the buttermilk was divine. steve

Hi Grant, Just a note. If you let the cream warm up, it will only take a small amount of shaking. We tried it both cold and room temperature, and the RT one just took a minute or two.
guys,im not kidding, it actually works! lots of effort and work out though. its actually sorta crumbly but use a spoon to squish it together. description made me laugh so hard.
I miss you. You are a legend. No. A King.
We love you, you will be missed❤️
If I'm shaking butter at home I'm going to the paint store and ask them if I could use the paint shaker to shake the butter
i just did this morning. worked like a charm. thanks grant!

"The harder and faster you shake, the sooner you'll feel the cream break!" *creepy smile*
It's a very complicated formula, and even if you follow the procedure exactly, it really comes down to just getting lucky.

I just tried it and made some great tasting butter. Keep it up with the videos I'm glad I'm subscribed

great idea I love your videos keep up the great work
How do you add the salt after the butter has formed? Do you just mixing it in the container (cream it)? Or can you add it at a certain stage during the shaking process to really blend it in?
Yeah shake that cream Grant.. Mmmm.

Fantastic way to make butter. Love it!
Awesome. I made butter from heavy whipping cream and found I get the best results when I allow the cream to sit at room temperature for about 12 hours. Then instead of vigorously shaking the bottle for a long time, I use sharp downward shakes to slam the cream at the bottom of the jar. After about 3 to 4 minutes, I have my butter.

This actually does work too! I JUST got through making it (OMG arms tired) and I got more butter than I thought I would out of it. I used heavy whipping cream. I've never tasted traditional buttermilk before. (I've had store bought though and it wasn't great) Had a little sip from a spoon (Delicious) then put it away to make pancakes with in the morning.
Rest In Peace Lengend

A trick to speed it up is filling the jar 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up and bringing the cream up to room temperature; this helps a lot.
