I am not the fastest kid on the block when it comes to learning all the ins and outs of card making. It has taken some time to realize and understand I can make cards and not have to finish them till I have need of a card for a specific occasion. 😮 Sometimes, you can simply make cards for the fun of it or just to be creative. 😊 it’s okay to add sentiments and embellishments later. Thanks for sharing this revelation in your video. PS Thanks for sharing that Paper Wishes has digital kits, which are reasonably priced!

Hi Terrie - You know I just hate throwing paper in the bin. There is usually some little thing you can do with it! But I do understand the storage issue that goes with saving them.

Hi Roxanne - I find if I take a few minutes and punch several out of neutral paper to have on hand it works best for me. I put them in with my other embellishments and seem to remember them more easily.

Hi Julia, as always beautiful cards. I love how you use every scrap of paper that would have seen the inside of my bin! I would have thought those pieces are too small, but then you popped them onto the tag... you are very frugal in your craft studio, and I am learning from you. I have a drawer full of border and corner punches, and I should get them out and use them more often! Thanks for the wonderful tutorial. Have a blessed day, and happy crafting! : )

So glad I can inspire you. I am a punch girl. Die cutting is great but punches are just so easy - I think I am a bit lazy. Or is that lacy...?! HAHAHA

These cards are beautiful and that paper pack is stunning! Are all Astrobright cardstock 65 lb.? I have never tried that brand. The weight is because of fitting it into the punches, correct? The cardstock I buy at Michaels is also 65 lb., so I am guessing that that would work, too. Have you ever used digital paper and if so, what paper do you use to print it out on? Mine never looks quite right. Thank you for the information about the punches. I appreciate it very much.❤

  • @SeniorSusieStamps

I don't use digital because my printer won't pull more than copy paper, and I don't like that weight to work with in the studio. Having said that - I did some digital print embellishments, but they were glued up on to heavier card stock before cutting. It's an added step...About punches - You know I buy a lot used, and some of the punches are not the sharpest tacks in the box. So I try to help them out a bit and not do too much heavy weight punching. It's easier on the punch I think.

Hi Helen - I got that several years ago from amazon. And immediately bought a 2nd one. Other viewers have asked about it, and I was not able to find one then. I looked on amazon again just now and don't find any. It is very handy and if I ever find one, I will let y'all know over on the facebook page. facebook.com/seniorsusiestamps/
