I love that you will use older items that we might have. I actually have the same punch and can do what you did. Some of the video crafters only use new products and it is so nice to have new ideas for things we already use.
As a crafter, I struggle with making cards, but you ALWAYS inspire me to try. This card is really cute. Thank you for sharing this idea.
It is almost 3;30 am and I can't stop watching you make stuff. I am mesmerized. I want to make stuff so bad and I'm trying so hard. I have art tools and papers and paper packs everywhere in my house. I have an art room full of stuff but I have been sick and couldn't do anything. Now I'm trying to get started again and I too love doing things in an assembly line, I worked in distribution and pulled orders and made tags for sterling silver manufacture and we sold to Dillards and Macy's, etc. So I always do assembly line style work. It just works and you get so much done, so when I get into a rhythm I can get allot done. But I have been binge-watching you to get all my info in my head and then it will be Go TIme
I really enjoy your videos. You give very clear instructions & make it all look easy. I like your chatty style, especially since you have a Southern accent like me!
I’m enjoying learning from you so much. I love your devotional/testimonials ❣️You’re a blessing to me♥️
This is such a pretty card and the lacy masking piece and use of stamping is inspired. Love the scripture stamp too :)

+Maymay Made It Crafts ....I love the way you used the masking paper for this card! I have several of M.S. border punches as well....but they've been sitting in a 'hard-to-get-at' box in my craft room! :( So now I'll have to go dig them out....and play! ☺ Thank you for the inspiration! I'll also have to check out that Brutus Munroe Masking Paper. I've been using a different brand...but I wasn't even aware of this B.M. product. Your card is beautiful! I love all those happy Spring colors! ☺ Happy stampin' ! ☺

thank you for sharing
Perfect as always. I want to go on your cruise!
I've been playing with getting a border punch or two but I haven't pulled the crafting trigger quite yet. This tutorial has for me itching to get one lol
brilliant
love this, tfs
That is cool. I was thinking that you could make a nearly identical card with the the exact same look except instead of using the masking paper, use the "scrap" piece you punched on top of the stamping on the card panel.
Do you ever use the Perfect mat tool (forgot the full name) mini? I think you carry it in your store. I loved this card and the technique! I had no idea how to use masking paper! Congrats on 100,000 subscribers! And thanks for keeping it real!
Beautiful card.... tfs
Thank you so much for showing how to use the masking tape and your card is beautiful!!
It's beautiful need to go see my order I was interrupted when I watched the day you shout down.
love love love this could u also use boarder dies and die cut it out insted of punches i dont owen alot of them but more dies and a cricut
An question since you use a lot of mats: have you considered using the frame punch board to cut out the middle of the mats the you use to save paper? I wonder if it is worth the effort?

+pctchr you can do that, for me I love a rich thick card so the more layers the better, well up to three! Lol. I find when I cut out the middle I don't have the same feel of the card but, you do what you love. That is the beauty of crafting, we can make to our hearts content!!! Thanks!

Thanks for your response; I was curious about how you felt about the idea. I wasn't sure if cutting out the middles made the card feel "uneven" or not, and it seems like it would. Like you say, it's only paper. BTW, I just bought my first purchases of 65# and 110# cardstock--Neenah of course! Can't wait to try them. I have to make a banner for a workshop I am attending and I think the heavier cardstock will make a good backing. Plus, of course, I'll use them for cards. Thanks again!

P.S. Congrats on your move; that's so exciting and I can't wait to see a video tour! God bless!
Do you ever have an issue of the ink smearing on the back of your card when you slide it over fresh ink that's on the mat?
@MaymayMadeIt
7 жыл бұрын
+moltr99 I've not had that issue, I do let them dry before I move On. These inks dried really quickly.
I really enjoying this idea for my cards. Thank you for sharing this tutorial. I've put in a request to join Hide his word. Thank you for sharing your creativity, Maymay. Sincerely Katz Baugh
Doesn't this get too heavy to mail with one stamp?
can you cut the masking paper on a cricut????
@MaymayMadeIt

+bonnie stewart I would still back It with card stock but sure You could.
Darling card. Every time I see you use glue I cringe because when I've used it, it warps the paper. Maybe I use too much, but I've tried using less to no avail. I just stick with tape.
@MaymayMadeIt

+Robin Burgeson have you tried art glitter glue like I use?
@SassyScrapper

Maybe it is the type of glue you use. There are some that seem thin and watered down, which could be causing the warping. Or it could be the thickness/thinness of the cardstock.

I forgot that's what you use. I'll give it a try. Thanks for your kind reply.
