Love your videos, simple and easy to follow walk throughs. As a suggestion, I picked up a no contact voltage tester and love it over my old multimeter for those quick and easy double checks after flipping the breaker.

Which plate did you use? For the multiple switches

how many cube is your 4 gang electrical box? was is easy with all the wires?

I already have two 3 way switches but want to make it a 4 way switch to control from 3 locations. How exactly would I do that? One Caseta wired and two wireless? Or two wired and one wireless? If it’s 2 wireless would I just cap off the 2nd existing wired switch?

The way to do it is one caseta wired and two wireless. Then you will bring the feed/power to the second box where your load is and wire the caseta to that box. Now your first box basically becomes a junction box and you can put the 1st wireless remote there and then chose another location of your liking to install the 2nd wireless remote. Then all you have to do after that is program it

Hmm.. Thinking I could install one of these switches in my garage and stick the remote in my car so I could switch the garage lights on when I arrive and off when I leave. Could do the same with the exterior lights as well!!

Yes you could do that. In fact, they actually make a sun visor clip for the second switch so you can put it right next yo your garage door opener.

@@HowToHomeDIY I like it!! Now that leads me to wonder if it's compatible with a vehicle's HomeLink system. Would be cool to be able to use the 2 unused HomeLink buttons in my car to switch the lights on and off..

The second switch must use battery in order for it to operate. Do you know how often do you have to change the battery ?

Yup you are correct. I actually filmed and installed this over a year ago and have not had to replace the battery yet. And that’s with using it daily since it controls our family room lights. But they claim the lithium battery life in it is up to 10 years.

Lutron Carta Pico Remotes are rated for 10 year battery light at 10 uses per day by Lutron.

@@giuseppebotta8320 And you wouldn't realistically use 10 light cycles per day by the remote if you use the phone app or Alexa/Google.

The pico batteries are very long lived. I've installed a bunch in 2014 that are still going strong with no battery changes. And you can change them easily when the time comes (they take coin cells) and get another decade

Those were Aluminum wires....

The wires on the Lutron dimmers are tinned copper, not aluminum
