    I want to install a light switch and outlet like you show. Do I break the jumper bar or not? What happens if you don't remove the jumper bar? what happens if you remove the jumper bar. What is the difference in operation? You are explaining like we are all union electricians local 3. P.S. you have smart hands.

    For me, it’s more practical to just buy the Adapters… I’m losing that old battery anyhow so I might as well buy an adapter and not ruin my newer batteries

    I know I'm late, but you forgot to just get rid of that nozzle. Needs to be the old flex hose that doesn't really flex, but it helps. They sell the vent caps and the flex nozzles as a package deal on some sites. Just be mindful of the gaskets!

    I had to wire several outlets in a very old house years ago. Of course, it was dark up in the attic where I was working. Instead of using pieces of wire, I used bright colored sprinkler flags. They have a stiff piece of wire with the flag attached. I just wrapped the flag around the wire and pushed it through the 1/8 inch hole I had drilled in the ceiling and it was so easy to find when I was up in the attic. They are available in packs of 10 or 100 at irrigation stores, or building supplies stores.

    Fun! And, no thanks. First I’d never be able to get that in the box. Second, if I want more outlets I’d just plug in an adaptor, or a power strip. And who has need for a temporary pop-out outlet! And fourth, regular outlets look smaller and better.

    Why on earth are receptacle boxes soooooo small? They should be the depth of the wall.

    I can only speak for myself, I’ve never had an issue. They don’t pay me or sponsor me so I’m just giving you my honest experience. I will say the Web for some reason has become harder to come by and this season I used one of my other favorite cleaners. I made an updated video on it a few weeks ago.

    You state the life cycle of the adult mosquito is only 1-2 weeks and this is simply untrue... for the females. They can live as long as 2 years, even hibernating over the winter months in cold climates... just ask any Alaskan.

  • @HowToHomeDIY
    @HowToHomeDIY3 сағат бұрын

    No, they don’t live that long. Not even the females.

    the typical capacitor costs 25 to 40 bucks wholesale just for the part. Some are 150 bucks just for the part wholesale. NO ONE sells a start capacitor for 11 bucks.

    I put the exact price I paid including tax for the capacitor in the video. Bought it on Amazon. So unless these went up a bunch in price since last year, yes they do.

    How do you provide stress releif for the cable that runs between the boxes? It appears that the chain that pulled the cable up was dropped through a open hole in the switch box and not through a "clamping" opening.

    Good video, thanks for the info. Am I able to use a transfer switch with a bigger generator? Looking at getting a Westinghouse with up to 14,500 peak and 11,500 running.. sounds like the transfer switch set up is what I would prefer to keep things simple and safe but not clear if that would work with this size generator?

    Yeah, my capacitor blew yesterday. The guy offered the ‘normal’ capacitor for $300, a’ better’ for $350, and $109 for call. Also tried to see me a ‘start-up kit’ to ‘assist’ startup using diffferentcircuits and part so the coil. I declined. Whole visit for normal capacitor was $410. I knew I could buy one myself, for much less, but it was a Sunday, I was busy, and it’s getting hot!

    I just put a funnel in my machine gas tank. Take the can fill cap off and pour into the funnel. Job done. I guess you could add a Schrader valve to the back side as a vent. I don't seem to need one.

    I ran Filtrete 1500 on my 20-year-old furnace, in a 2500 sq ft house, for 12 years and never had a problem. I did have to replace the blower motor once, a temperature sensor, and an exhaust fan motor. But it is a very old furnace. We replaced the filter every 3 to 6 months and kept the fan on continuous.
