Thank you so much! My grandmother bought me this one necklace *eons* ago and I've always been repairing it (It's a metal dolphin with a polished white rock coming out as a tail, looks like a tooth and I keep it in place with gorilla glue since its so old lol) and now that the cord was literally falling apart I got some cord, braided it, and used this to mimic the original design! Thanks a ton for prolonging the life of my favorite accessory!!❤❤❤❤❤❤

Your tutorial is so good, I was able to do this, even with mild arthritis, shaky hands and not the best hand eye coordination. I used tweezers to help feed the strings through, but I did it. I am a total newbie at jewelry and only came into this knowing how to use a single slip knot to cast on in knitting. This was more complicated, and took a few tries, but if I can do it, most people probably can watch this and do it. Thanks for teaching me something new and useful.

Thank you very much! So could you cut the tail all the way to the very base of the knot so that there is no little tail part at all??? This is actually quite fascinating! I have no idea how or why this works 😆 and if I did I could probably answer my own question but I have no clue here..... You mentioned singeing the ends. I'm not familiar with that.... what type of cord can you do that with and how? I'm using some kind of unwaxed silky cord that I got a thousand years ago so I suspect if I were to light it it could possibly go up LOL. Should I use some little glue like super glue or the jewelry cement glue on the knot? I'd want this to be super secure... TIA!
