What Comes In a DIY Countertop Kit
Every countertop kit has each step pre-measured and packaged simplifying the installation process. The kits include:
- Primer for creating an extreme bond to almost any surface.
- Texture Coat to give you that concrete base.
- Scratch Coat to create the smooth polished like surface of concrete.
- Stains can be added during checkout to give you unlimited color options.
- Every kit comes with the Top Coat of your choice whether its our most popular WB Urethane top coat or our 100% solids High Gloss Epoxy.
Texture Coat
A unique and highly flexible polymer liquid that is mixed with our proprietary cement and crushed marble aggregate creating a cementitious based system that chemically bonds to almost any surface. Designed for both exterior and interior use, enhancing and protecting countertop surfaces from the most harsh elements.
Scratch Coat
A polymer-modified, cementitious based system using extremely fine powder that is designed and intended for use as a micro-topping finish coat over Leggari's Texture Coat to create a smooth concrete surface.

@@LeggariProducts seriously. just tell them there is no white just like you should have told me there is no light gray. your color is greige. very different and sucks in the wrong place. you can't provide your customers an accurate representation of what to expect other than a 2 x 4 inch photo on a website. and when they get other than expected your customer service says its still a reasonable expectation of the product. not interested in a reasonable expectation. for the money this costs.. I expect to get a pretty darn good expectation of what my results should be.

Great videos, love the product, but customer service isn’t always available especially when I need them! Trying to do concrete overlay, but seem to be missing a few details, like dry times after scratch coat and stain?? Nothing really showing you how to use the stain. Plus the sprayer they send to put the stain on doesn’t work, it’s garbage!. It’s been 2 hours since they opened and still cannot reach anyone at Laggari products! Love the product and was planning to use it for some other projects, but with no customer service I’m too disappointed and frustrated to deal with them again!

not to mention its expensive and they do not accurately represent the expected outcome. Ordered sample and it was lovely. but it does not come with the topcoat. counter was lovely until I applied the top coat and now it is a horrible greige. they seem to think a 2 x 4 inch photo on their web site is enough for people to go on. I emailed and asked questions prior to purchasing the sample. I never expected them to add in a product that would drastically alter the color of the base product. and their solution was to sand it off and then buy stain and apply. but you then have to apply the beige top coat that will one again destroy the color of the product. the entire experience sucks.

Yes it can be put over tile, but you need to fill all your grout seams with multi purpose bondo from Home Depot, then sand it smooth, this will scuff up your tiles also, then wipe it clean with denatured alcohol then you are ready to apply our epoxy. Take a look at the tutorial below. Thanks kzread.info/dash/bejne/mWx73NWFYM7WntY.html

Way too many steps pal. Just pour a concrete counter top on melamine and buy quickcrete concrete mix and caulk your corners pour and vibrate with a palm sander or sawzaw without blade or tap edges very good with hmmer lightly but alot to get as many air pockets out and youll have a sweet concrete countertop!

Yes but of course when pouring in place you have less room for error. Gotta get it right the first time, otherwise you could have a nightmare of sanding on your hands which is a real problem inside a finished house. Every technique has its advantages and disadvantages.

@@philindeblanc exactly!! I am more than willing to pay for quality products but this is just taking it over the line for me. @@chloe61195 The is a product CTS called concrete Leveler, and I bet it would do pretty much what this does. It may need a good power sanding knockdown, but its $32 for about 50sqft. These companies are label makers. They do marketing to sell at the maximum profit based on what the use can be. It can replace a $1000 table, lets charge for that. Even the polymer concrete is already super priced as a decorative finish. These used to be 8-9$ a bag, and now with so much inflation, and markup its over $30. They dont do what other companies or markets and countries do, which is look at their costs and charge a markup for profit for the industry. They are free to do what they want, but they get the proper greed and phony business label.

just applied this to counters and am disgusted with how they turned out. the top coat turns the beautiful gray concrete in to a greige color. this clashes with everything in my kitchen. I took time and spent money to get the sample and the color is just what I wanted. but the sample does not include the base or the top topcoat and the topcoat changes the color more than a little. no where online do they mention the topcoat will alter the color of the base product. their solution is to sand it down, spend more money on a stain to make it darker, just so I can apply another topcoat that will once again add beige tones to the final product. Ido not want a dark counter, I want a light gray. I had conversations prior to any purchase I wanted a light gray color and no one at any time mentioned they do not have that color. I cannot recommend doing business with a company that will not fairly represent the final outcome of their product to their customers. what really sucks is I only did half my kitchen and I am now forced to spend another $700 to do the rest. the sight of this product clashing with everything else just makes me ill and I am furious at having to spend even more money on a product I don't want. and their support relys on a photo on their website as the color I got was reasonable of what to expect. I purchased because of the sample. not the photo on their web site. again.. customers should be able to get something to determine, BEFORE PURCHASE, if the final outcome is going to be what they want.

I was thinking the same thing. I just looked at the price of the kit. Almost $700 for 50 sq ft. It might be easier to do real concrete but it would DEFINITELY be a hell of a lot cheaper to do real concrete. Don’t get me wrong. I love everything that you guys do. But I think for the most part people use epoxy to get the look of stone but without the added cost of the real thing. Doing concrete countertops is a hell of a lot less than $700.
