How to Make a WASHING MACHINE using Buckets (12V Portable)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This is a really awesome washing machine, can be easily made at home. It is a good machine for all students who live in hostels to wash their shirts and socks. Enjoy!

The advantage in these kind of Bucket washing machines is they will consume less water. And nice to use for washing baby clothes. 👌
Just a suggestion. Get 5 or 10 one inch rubber bouncy balls. To the inside edges of the washing bucket, glue a half of a rubber ball, the kind you get a toy stores, on various places to create a washboard effect as the clothes are circling around the bucket. This will create the agitation needed to knock the dirt out and push the soap and water through the clothing. Also, for a drain, drill a slightly smaller hole than 1" approximately 1/2" from the bottom of the top bucket. Insert a male threaded pvc pipe into the hole from the outside. Place a washer onto the threaded end from the inside and use a pvc nut to secure the pipe to the bucket. Use a pvc cap to prevent the water from leaking out while using the washer and remove when emptying. If you want to make the pipe longer, you can either add more pvc pipe or add a hose to the end to run to a drain.

Beautiful suggestions sir very beautiful
Fascinating!
This is absolutely brilliant on DIY standard and first time attempt, lots of feedbacks are being poured by youtubers for may be improvement they want to see on next iterattion. let me add mine too, well i think the washing cycle will be more effective if it has some contours on the sides of upper bucket may be you could do this with the aid of some sort of heating element. Good job anyway!

thanks for the video, my grandma needs some washing machine
like the build and i want to do it but how hard would it be to add two way agitation , auto fill, rinse, and drain? and what music did you use in this video?
Fabulous !!
Nice project
Wow excellent 👍👍👍
All third world country homes now can have this III world washing machine! Very nice .
You can make an H-bridge out of power transistors and diodes, to alternate the direction of current, the motor then rotates back and forth and it pretty much resemble the commercial washing machine. Great vid though!

Awesome, I want to do this! (or buy one)
EXCELLENT IDEA
Thank you Mr Silent
How about adding 3 fins on the sides the a better wash? I have a GE front loader that uses 3 fins. Even my grandkids dirty football uniforms come out clean everytime.
this stuff is great
wonderful idea
for some reason this is so satisfying.......
great work
Washing machine from bucket. Is it practically possible with 12 v battery. Technical idea is worth praise.
simple at finnest, good job
Vary nice work
Oh my god awesome 🙆
Very good project! I´m going to imrpove this with a drain hose, but I really like the original idea.

can you build a mini-dischwacher??? I want to create one, and I have some ideas about it, but 2 heads is better than one, especially when 1 of this 2 is yours! Shall we think together about it?
very good project!!! 👍
This is impressive; thank you.
For mine, i used bigger buckets and I added a drain plug and a even bigger motor which is 28V power and added a PCB Board to make it spin another way around, for agitation I put brushes.
Greate video yr Thenks
Also is it possible to replace the buckets with a plastic gallon drump to add more clothes?
nice jod wel don keep it up
That is a great whirlpool maker.
Impressive... Now let's see a front loading one!
Nice idea
really super idea bro
did you not use any seal at all around the axel plate? i mean the water should drip by the bolts and axelhole just fine with just a tiny hole?
Que legal! Pena que não entendo de mecânica se não iria fazer uma máquina de lavar igual essa para mim! Parabéns! Você é muito inteligente!

🆒 Thank you so much for uploading this video. 👍👍👍👍👍 Sharing with community 🇵🇰
Amazing💕😍💕😍
PS .. I just saw a review on a portable washer/spinner called the base camp washer. It has the internal basket that attaches to the agitator. It'd be totally worth trying to incorporate this into your design as clothes that havent been spun dry take so much longer to dry. Depending on weather conditions where you are camping this could be a real pain.

It would be so cool if you can make a front loading washing machine
AWESOME
This is the best damn project so far. I believe some simple improvements can be done with that model, like adding a drainage pipe etc. I also think you'll need a more powerful motor. Anyway, I'm willing to try this project if I could find the parts.

I know there's seemingly nothing getting agitated but I think he intended for this to be a prototype.
regards sir. what is the wattage of the DC motor i.e. how much ampere does it draw from the battery.
Nice i like it

NICE IDEA
What do you use the gear box and pulsator from the washing machine?
This is a great project, but I am unable to find an appropriate sized pulsator. All I can find are over 12" diameter which does not fit the common 5 Gallon bucket. I believe that pulsators sold separately are much more common in India, which unfortunately does not export most items like this to the West.
Good job
I love love love love that you don't feel the need to talk.

nice but need it moves right left but I not sure if this will work with DC
Could you DIY an egg washer? Preferably with 3d prints etc? :D
should have only put the glue on the smallest circular piece of wood. The way you did it glue bonked out where it didn't belong. Also it's a DC motor, so you could have set it up to reverse directions between cycles for more agitation.

put a weight below to hold the system in movement and a transparent lid for the water not to get out and also to see the process. Success ! from Romania
sir ap batae ge kon si battery achi hai 12 v dry long battery ya leoch battery ?
great :o
Washing machines are great
Very beautiful and thought more fascinating project and we are waiting to upgrade this project
It is one of the practical
you're a smart guy I was wondering why didn't you use a mini shipping Barrel the plastic ones and on the other side where the motor and everything is did you use some kind of sealant so the water doesn't go through
@kedwa30
7 жыл бұрын
He did not seal it. The tightness of the connection on the two plastic buckets keeps the seal. You can seal it if that is your preference. Silicone caulk is a good choice.
This would probably clean better if it reversed direction every 20 seconds or so - better agitation.
what is the specification of the motor you used?? how much rpm? how much torque? and where can i get a pulstor in india?
It would be cool to make this in a rectangular tub with two agitators spinning opposing directions. I may do that some day.
@kartiksingh883

Use a relay with a basic Arduino board so you can make the same thing spin opposite after some intervals of time.
Muito bom
Awesome video but I have one question, can there be like a drain pipe to it just to make it easier?
@galizakeithd.2579
2 жыл бұрын
You can drill a little hole in the bottom and then remove the top part of a bottle and stick it onto the bottom.(make sure that it has a cap otherwise the water will just flow down)
V nice
It would be nice if you can make the module for the motor can rotate reversely.
You should make an automatic clothes wringer too! :)
So, what about the rinse cycle and spin cycle to get the excess water out of the clothes?
It needs to go back and forth - clockwise then anticlockwise or else you'll end up with a bucket full of really tangled items and they won't clean very well either.
WOOOOHH

merci bien
Good video, but the design of the washing machine could be improved. If possible, design the circuit to reverse then forward for more agitation and less swirl. Thumbs up!

Very good
Not basic enough in my opinion. The base & agitator needs to be more homemade. Great video.
what is the power of dc motor i mean can it swing one or say 3 denim pents and from the look of it, it appears to be very fragile and susceptible to leaking washing a handkerchief, socks or under garments is not privy to that much trouble
