My dad had a really rough couple of weeks in the hospital right before Christmas. He finally got to come home last week and get away from that awful hospital food! My step mom has been spoiling him with his favorite meals all week, but his favorite thing of all is Key Lime Pie. On Saturday my daughter used this recipe (although with a pre-made graham cracker crust) to make Grandpa a pie. We went over to visit on Sunday and he LOVED this pie! He said it was the best Key Lime Pie he ever had! Thank you so much Chef Jean-Pierre and staff for making such an awesome channel! GOD BLESS YOU AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I made this today for my wife’s birthday. Absolutely the best key lime pie we’ve had. We live in FL too so that’s saying a lot.

I am very new to serious cooking. I honestly did not believe I could make anything edible by following highly accomplished Chef (☹). Chef Jean-Pierre came to my feed and changed all that. I thoroughly enjoy what I have cooked these days. Now I have vowed to make my own, BUTTER, DESERT, SOUPS ( Onyo soup being my fav, never like the salty restaurant kind ) and many delicious French cuisine. I have watched other Chefs but the energy, dedication, attention to details and an easy common sense approach made Chef Pierre my BEST chef. I have watched most of his shows with great admiration. I come from a culture where men only grill meat. Now I am a better man in the Kitchen! ASANTE SANA CHEF. (Swahili for THANK YOU VERY MUCH CHEF).

What really takes this Key Lime Pie to the next level is the crust - with the sweetened coconut flakes and mixed nuts. It is AMAZING and foolproof. Thank you Chef JP.

My husband and I were just in Florida. He was testing and comparing key lime pies. His birthday is next weekend. I’m going to surprise him with this. The recipe looks wonderful.

I also liked it because i really wanted to see how to crust looked when we was done. I wasn't sure how thick he would lesve the bottom and how neat he was going to be about it and the time lapse let me see really quick.

Great example of a Key Lime Pie! In my home town of Big Pine Key, FL. they just made the larges Key Lime Pie in the world celebrating the Florida keys 200 birthday on the 3rd of July 2023 measuring 13 feet wide! Was crazy big but fun to see! Yours looks amazing!

Chef you are an incredible teacher, I notice all the fine details. My brother and I have a saying “cant buy experience “ being in the commercial painting business for 35yrs I just retired and now little brother is running the business. Which gives me more time to follow you and do your recipes. As a young boy I would stand next to my mom and watch and learn. She was a fabulous home cook. Simple meals that tasted soooo good. Everyone wanted to eat at my house. Thank you again for the channel and the years of knowledge and experience you are sharing!!!!

Chef Jean Pierre is so amazing. He teaches without condescension. He actually inspires confidence. I love this channel.

As someone that cooked Professionally starting at the Age of 18 for Decades this Chef teaches me things sometimes that are just great tips and techniques. A Wealth of Culinary Knowledge...

I love you chef. Am sad to have just found you a few weeks ago. Could have been using your recipes for years. I am 85 this year.

Chef JP, I’m sure you hear this often but I’ll say it anyhow. You are a delight to watch. Often, I watch your videos just for the fun of it as it cheers me up. Chef JP, you are a true inspiration. I've watched your videos almost daily since "discovering" you around three months ago, finding new things to try out and it's exciting. I've gone from using jars of sauce to making my own; boxed stock to having home made stock (frozen for 17 years) ready to go when needed! I even bought a couple of proper knives (courtesy of another video of yours teaching what is necessary) and a lovely chopping board. For the first time in a very long time, I'm truly excited over doing something. My one and only deep regret is that I didn't find your channel before my father passed away just before Christmas. He would have absolutely loved the meals you've helped me prepare for my mother. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Chef JP. God bless you and keep you.

You did it again Chef. My #first dessert is Tiramisu which you so expertly demonstrated for us. I even roasted my own green coffee beans from Boquete Panama for my espresso. Outstanding, but I have been disappointed by the Key Lime pie I have ordered in restaurants. When I saw your recipe, I had to try. Bellissimo, Chef!

My grandfather was from the Florida keys and he always said that he didn’t know anybody out of south Florida that made key lime pie correctly. People used to put green food coloring in it, he thought that was blasphemy. He would also never let a Persian lime near his pies, but key limes are hard to find outside of Florida.
