How to Make a Telescope at Home | DIY Project | VinKrish Solutions
In this video, I will show you how to make a simple Refracting Telescope at home using PVC pipes. The purchase link for the lenses used is given below. No glue is used for making the telescope. Only masking tape is used for easy assembly and disassembly. Please pause the video screen whenever required as some frames of the video have so many details. Hope you will enjoy this video. Thank you for watching.

Hey bro can you make on personal order ?
Just come across this video. In its simplest form a telescope is a lens, an eyepiece a method to keep them aligned, abitity to focus and a method to point it where you want. You've proved that you dont need anything fancy to produce good results. About 40 years ago I made a 6" reflector using more or less the same materials so I can appreciate your effort.

I made it 7 years back with 700mm focal length doublet lens with 4mm eye piece. I was able to see saturn with its rings.

Hello! Excellent tutorial, this was really helpful. I have a question, I wasn't able to find the exact reducer so I bought one which has a slightly bigger hole than the 25mm pipe. I added another 25mm joint to other side (like the one used for eyepiece) so the eyepiece segment could fit in the bigger reducer hole, so is it okay that way? Also, my lens came scratched 😢. The scratch is not on the outside but in between the two lenses. Will the scratch affect the image? I haven't used it yet because the Tripod is still on the way.
@VinKrishSolutions

Hi... thank you for the comment... Adding additional reducer is ok. Even without the tripod, you can try seeing the moon. I hope the scratch doesn't affect the image quality👍

For segment 2 can we connect the 40mm X 220mm pipe directly with the reducer..?
@VinKrishSolutions

Hi... I gave one joint to get more sliding space near the end of segment 1. The 40mm joint and reducer together will give more of a space for adjustment and tightening with the screw.

Same👍
Bro my refuser does not slide inside the 50mm pipe just the 40mm pipe slides which is attached to the reducer should I cut the 50mm pipe a little more ?
@VinKrishSolutions
6 ай бұрын
If cutting solves the problem, then you can trim the 50mm pipe. But if you can get a reducer which enters the 50mm pipe, it would be better.
Which pipe is adjusted for focus 40 mm or 25 mm .
@VinKrishSolutions
2 жыл бұрын
40mm and 25mm pipes are part of segment-2. You can see at 01:14. Segment-2 together slides with respect to segment-1 for focusing of objects at different distances... for sliding you may loosen the screw provided. See 03:40.
Sir I am makin a telescpoe with 4mm eyepiece and 62mm of lens with focal length of lens of 900mm so the measures are correct or not
@VinKrishSolutions
2 жыл бұрын
You may need a telescope of more length as the total length of telescope (lens to lens length) needed for your combination of lenses is around 904mm....
👍
What is the optimal length of whole telescope for 8mm and also 25mm eyepiece
@VinKrishSolutions
2 жыл бұрын
For 8mm, total length will be ~708mm. For 25mm, total length will be ~725mm. Pls see 00:16 of video.
What should be the exact length adjustment to view crystal clear moon view in same configuration telescope u made ?
@VinKrishSolutions
9 ай бұрын
Total length should be 725mm (lens to lens distance) with 700mm objective and 25mm eyepiece.
Amazing! But how will u clean the lens ?
@VinKrishSolutions

Since masking tape is used here, we can easily disassemble the telescope and clean the lens if required.
