    Just come across this video. In its simplest form a telescope is a lens, an eyepiece a method to keep them aligned, abitity to focus and a method to point it where you want. You've proved that you dont need anything fancy to produce good results. About 40 years ago I made a 6" reflector using more or less the same materials so I can appreciate your effort.

    Hello! Excellent tutorial, this was really helpful. I have a question, I wasn't able to find the exact reducer so I bought one which has a slightly bigger hole than the 25mm pipe. I added another 25mm joint to other side (like the one used for eyepiece) so the eyepiece segment could fit in the bigger reducer hole, so is it okay that way? Also, my lens came scratched 😢. The scratch is not on the outside but in between the two lenses. Will the scratch affect the image? I haven't used it yet because the Tripod is still on the way.

  • @VinKrishSolutions

    Hey I want to ask that are both lens convex ? Can I use 10 cm and another of higher focal length?

    Both can be convex. Here I have used a combination of concave and convex lenses (achromatic lens) for objective for better image. You can see in the video.

    You can also use 10mm eyepiece and a higher focal length lens as objective.

    I think both are good deals... you can buy any of the two... If price is not an issue, you may go for the 1st option.

    If i change my lens and eyepiece size, what will be changed? Is it only the joint of those??

    The total length of telescope (lens to lens distance) should be the sum of the focal lengths of the 2 lenses.

    Screw to which segment and how to put it into the pipe ?

  • @VinKrishSolutions

    @VinKrishSolutions

    Жыл бұрын

    Screw should be in Segment-1. You may use hot scissors or knife to easily put a small hole. Then enlarge the hole using the screw. The screw itself will form the thread.
