Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
If you stitched your bear's head very carefully and filled it well, you should have a nice symmetrical face!

Trim any excess fur over the bridge of the nose. Put pins where the eyes should be inserted and you can take a measurement from the centre snout up to each pin to determine that they are even. Use an awl to make the holes for the glass eye loops to be inserted, thread each of the loops with a strong thread and use a long needle to insert each of the eyes into the bear’s head, exiting the needle at the base of the head at the neck area. Pull both threads (from each eye) firmly so the loop of each eye 'sinks' in to the bear's head and provides definition on his face. Tie them together using a reef knot. Thread the thread tails into a needle again the back stitch to secure, then add off the thread and snip off.
Take a measurement from each eye up to the head where the ears will be secured. Ensure the placement is even. Pin and then stitch the ears securely in place, gently 'cupping' them to provide a nice shape.
Mark the outline of the required nose shape and with a satin stitch, neatly embroider a nose and then a mouth for your bear.

Thank you. The ear and the mouth part will be especially helpful to me. You also have a wonderful accent.
What a great tutorial! Thanks so much! I have never tried tackling a jointed bear before, but I may be buying one of your kits now that I have the “secrets.”

+Liberty Lady Hi there! Thanks so much for your comments and pleased you enjoyed the tutorial. You will have great fun making a jointed bear - takes a little longer than the un-jointed ones, but is worth the effort when you see the finished product!
Brave teddy, not a murmur during this surgical procedure. I suppose the acupuncture around the ears and mouth may have helped.

Great video! Adorable bear. After watching your video I find myself angry by the fact that I can't even sew button back on my coat because of lack of talent, lol.

If I am using safety eyes, how do I push it down please? Thanks for the tutorial!

+Srade Farras Hi Srade! Thanks for your comment and enquiry. The backing of the safety eye needs to fit securely against the back of the eye (with the fabric in-between the two). You may find it easier to secure the plastic or metal backing to the eye by taking a cotton reel, placing the opening of the reel over the stalk of the eye (once the backing has been positioned over it), and then pushing the cotton reel down as hard as you can until you feel the backing has been pushed up against the back of the eye. Using a cotton reel just gives you a bit more leverage! Hope that has been of assistance.
Are you using rustic mohair?

Hi Amber Thanks for your enquiry. I am using Steiff Schulte mohair manufactured in Germany.
