In America, the name "Teddy Bear" originated as the result of a failed hunting trip in 1902, on which then president and big game hunter Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt would not shoot a bear. That same year in Brooklyn, NY, Morris and Rose Michtom, candy shop owners and stuffed animal makers, saw the story and made the first (at least in America) "Teddy's Bear." President Roosevelt would be proud of your bear.

My grandad used to make me little dolly beds. It was quite handy having a master carpenter for a grandfather. They looked very similar to the one you’ve purchased. He left school at ten so started making stuff in the twenties.

My grandad was a carpenter too he made me a cot and a dolls house. I loved that dolls house even though it was really simple :)

Wonky is an awesome bear. His jumper reminds me of the jumpers Mrs Weasley knitted for Ron and Harry in the first Harry Potter movie

Wonky is a bear a mother would would love. 🐻🤔👏👏👏❤️❤️

Tip when sewing seams trim fur off around the circumference so seams aren’t so bulky. Draw around pattern pieces . When finished pull any fur caught in seam out . Cotter pin head on too. Shave snout , inside ears . Black embroidered nose .

Ah what a gorgeous bear, so like my very own Mr Chips, they all looked so happy together in the cradle, just perfect, and a glimpse of the velvet one Sunny is always pleasing xxx

wonkie ears, I love them. years ago TY used to sell a line of stuffed animals that looked like old stuffed dtoys that had been loved a lot. with articulating heads, arms and lets, and some tails.,. they look a bit like wonkie here. he is lovely, I love his nose, he is a splendid pointy noise bear.

A wee rake made out of driftwood and a pair of wellies and his accessories would be complete. Very cute.

I love Wonky! You ladies are very crafty. Good thing Sunny was sleeping, he would be jealous that you have a new fur baby.

I have a tiny bear which used to live in the top pocket of my dungarees looking out at the world his name was Tattie Bogle ( thats another story) big enough to sleep on the palm of my hand but very observant when awake .

Poor Wonky has a weird ratty nose all pointy and unbear like. I was waiting for you to give him a triangular bears nose. No wellies either, give him a brush to make his fur a bit fluffy. You can see I wanted to make him for you 🐻😋😘 Loved it so wanted to sit at the table with you, I can bring some lemon drizzle cake 😉 Please I hope you get time to go out frequently taking your daily exercise that just happens to be on the foreshore. Your both adorable, sunnyis so contented relaxed and happy. Thank you both for the cheerful kindness you spread around to us whilst these restrictions are on. Anything that can take us out of the worry and pressure of being here today is a wonerfulLove and Light 💜

When you put the beads into ted you could put them into a stocking foot so if the bear gets a hole in him they won’t leak out . He is well cute well done xx
