    This works !! You can use a pringles container and it works less material!😊

    That's exactly right! You can actually do this same thing with most binoculars too and potentially get an easier to see projection, but obviously you shouldn't watch the eclipse directly through them without the correct lens filters.

    The sun doesn't emit more radiation just because there's an object in front of it. In fact, you would think that there would be less radiation reaching the Earth. Is it due to gravitational lensing?

    @@tabula_rosa thank you Rosa so with that information. I imagine it's okay to briefly blink in that direction. Before it gets dark. Just as it is safe relatively to Blink at the Sun during normal situations.

    Since it's darker during an eclipse, your pupils expand which lets more of the available rays in. Because its an eclipse people are more likely to look directly at the sun for an extended period of time so it ends up being the same amount absorbed as looking at the sun any other day

    Or, alternatively look at the sun in small occasional glances like any typical mammal does and see it first hand. Or don't, and be afraid that biology made nothing but mistakes and cower in fear lol

    Solar eclipse glasses are still the best second to a actual solar filter.
