How To Make A Deadly Accurate And Powerful Slingshot Out Of Multiplex!
Link To The Jig Saw I Used In This Video: amzn.to/2zPAI1R This thing has served me well for years, and with its very reasonable price tag, it makes it easy to get into some simple woodworking projects like this, without breaking the bank. It's not the best jig saw on the market, but for the beginner, looking for a budget item, this one is hard to beat, and I would definitely recommend it.

Multiplex is a high density many layered plywood that is crazy strong. You can buy the blanks here:

Currently I'm away for the next 8 months studying abroad, away from my workbench. KZread and the forum are all I have that's keeping me from going crazy! :)

I've seen your other videos, and you are an up and coming craftsman. I think you should shape more out of aluminum and sell them for over $150. The people who have money will buy from you. Stay away from the $50 and under models. You really are that good.

Kewl! Personally, i would invest in a decent scroll saw for $100 to $150. Makes things faster and more precise, without having to reposition the material all the time. Where did you get that template?

I would like one but for one I'm 15 and my family is military so we live on an air force Base and move every two years so is not really the best idea to get heavy equipment but I can't wait until I can get one. And the template was called Tom's ergo and I got it off the slingshot forum under templates.

+sharpshooterjd Your base has a workshop and the guy/gal in charge might welcome your teaching a class on making SS...and good for you for making most of your opportunities. I've known some great folks who grew up on multiple mil bases and have lots of skills, language et al because they had the drive and ambition to use what they had.

What is Multiplex material. It looks like medium density fiber board (MDF) to me.

It is many layered premium birch plywood, similar to the material they use to make skateboard decks. It is much stronger than normal plywood which is much stronger than MDF.

Thanks Sharpshooter. Additionally I have a lot of 1/2 MDF. For those who understand composite construction; laminating both sides of the MDF with 1/8th burch ply that I have laying around from the hobby shop is a work around. Bert Rutan is the one who made composite construction in aircraft popular.

Yeah, that should work just fine. As long as the forks are pretty close to your fingers there is not much force being generated anyway. Just can't be too careful. Don't want to get a broken fork fragment flying at your face. And of course, wear eye protection :).

+DIY Tutorials And More Idk man. Maybe I was being too careful or maybe my files weren't coarse enough. Or you are using faster time-lapse. It could be anything. I think it was just because I was using such high grit files. Maybe I did that to avoid splintering, or just cause I didn't have anything else. I couldn't tell you for sure :).

Man every time you open your mouth you smack your lips, and once you notice it you just can't ignore it. But great slingshot looks comfortable to hold, and what accuracy do you have its like 10/10. Hope to get that level of accuracy.
