Making A Laminated Thumb And Index Finger Grip Slingshot

It has been quite a lot of time since I last made a slingshot, so time to make a new one! This is a target shooting/hunting slingshot which is really accurate and meant to shoot small ammo like 10mm steel ball bearings that I used. The core is bamboo, fingerswell and in front of the forks is merbau, behind the forks is acasia and the last piece is tornillo. Thanks for watching!

To help you get the template perfectly symmetrical if you draw a centre line and just draw 1 side of the frame design fold in half down the centre line and cut out then when you unfold both sides are perfectly symmetrical i tend to use grapth paper to draw my frames out you have done a great job on the sling hope you put food in your belly with it. I think a slingshot is a very underestimated tool for hunting I have put plenty of food on the table with 1 Atb Steve

Thanks! Yeah that's a good technique to make it perfectly symmetrical. I've heard about it before but forgot it this time, maybe I'll try that next time!

NorthWeapons you're welcome have a look at natural laytex for your bands better then tbg I use 0.4mm single bands 22 to 18 taper and that well take any small game you can buy it from simple shot online atb Steve

Very nice slingshot, I was hopping to see you take out the neighbors cat with it.
