    You can try, but the effect works best with copper since it is one of the best conductors of electricity

    Since, both glass rod and fur are positively charged and like charges repel each other. So, both the glass rod and fur will repel each other.

    Hi, Aluminum foil will work the best because of its conductivity. Aluminum foil is also much more easily available hence we recommend you to use the same.

    So, the plastic lid prevents the escape or dissipation of the electric charge, allowing the electroscope to retain its charge for a longer period.. If the metal components of the electroscope were in direct contact with the air or other surroundings, the electric charge could easily leak away through the process of conduction or other forms of charge dissipation. It's like a little shield that helps the electroscope stay sensitive to external electric influences for a longer time.

    No, I don't think so not confirm but when U burn the wires the outercoart of the wire also burned and the substances which is needed or most important burns so not

    Hello, despite being burned, it will conduct electricity if there are no breaks or if it is not damaged. However, if the wire is completely burned out or melted, it may be unable to conduct electricity changes in temperature. Although, If you have access to regular copper wire, that would be ideal.

    Commonly used lid materials are metals which are good conductors of electricity. For this experiment to work, you need a insulator and plastic lid is the most common among them.

    We use the bottle in order to channelize the static charge. Otherwise, it dissipates into the atmosphere!
