How to Make a Rustic Buttercream Wedding Cake | SUPER STABLE Wedding Cake | +Pricing Guide

Stacking buttercream wedding cakes can be a little bit intimidating so in today's video I give you step by step instructions on how to make this beautifully rustic gold leaf wedding cake. I also offer home baking businesses advice on how to price this beauty!
You can really use any stabilized cake you would like to for this tutorial! American or meringue based buttercreams will work for this cake as well. Since I don't go through the baking process in this video, you may want to check out some of my other videos if you're looking for cake ideas.

    So you said the second dowel (the outer one) has a sharp edge to poke through the board. Are you talking about the bottom board or the one underneath that cake that you’re placing on top. I’m still not sure how you were able to get that cake to slide on that side dowel. It doesn’t look sharp and did you have two holes and lined them up on that cake board of the cake you placed on top? Hope my question makes sense. I simply wonder how you lined up two premade holes for both dowels

    This is an absolutely gorgeous cake. I’d like to make it a few weeks ahead of my wedding and freeze it. Is it possible to freeze this with the frosting and decorations and all?

    You technically can, but the quality may suffer. For the fondant roses, you wouldn’t need to freeze them at all. You can leave it out 🥰

    I added a tiny bit of peach and chocolate brown food colouring, but be super sparing!

    Hi need help with baking a cake..my powdered sugar becomes too grainy n gritty in the frosting..tried so many methods nothing works out. could you help in making my frosting smooth ?

    You can do a technique where you boil milk and the powdered sugar, but I would rather go with Italian meringue or Swiss meringue buttercream in that instance!

    Painting on buttercream is a little bit trickier. I would use gel colours mixed with a bit of vodka or some sort of ready to go edible paint palette!

    To be honest I can't remember, but I THINK it was a 10 and 8 inch cake. This would feed approximately 40-50 people.

    You can; it just won’t solidify up as well outside of the fridge in my experience!

    Don't you lose a lot of cake by putting in all the thick straws as suppports inside the bottom cake layer? Since when they are removed when the cake is cut, they'll have cake inside of them that can't be salvaged, and they'll leave holes behind?

    For someone else ,well takes to make cake like this ,‏between 10 n 15 years, with few brakes.. you must be kidding dear lady,, to try to teach someone to make cake like this,, probably it's will be big mish-mosh from the cake, I think I told you before this is real art you have to be more realized that you artist all the best lady. Ps you don't charge enough money for your cake New York City charge 3 times more and it's not even close to your cake ,,all the best lady U got real art which is I. love,,,🍒

    Hi Ashley I always watch your videos and now I am getting tempted to make KZread videos My question to you when you are starter KZreadr and make cakes What do you do to those Cakes when you don’t have customers ??
