Believe it or not, the flowers are what really cost. The time in creating these beauties, can run into hours. Each part of each flower is a separate piece, and then each piece needs to be brought together to look amazingly real......just one flower. Then imagine the stunning bouquets and placement of the flowers into the masterpiece cake. This was a magnificent peek into a hint of the work and pride involved with these works of art for a very special day! Thank you!

Well as a pastry chef myself, I understand the struggle of baking a wedding cake from scratch until it becomes reality. A pastry chef should understand the value of making everything perfect from start to finish. Salute for her! And for those who are commented how dry her cake looks, you should try it yourself so you’ll know how it tastes. Cakes could be deceiving just by looking at it. Same goes to people. You judged too early just by looking at them even before you know ‘em :) Just saying guys. If you can’t be like her, at least just show some respect.

It's confusing to see all these comments about the cake being dry....you DO realize that's what cake looks like without icing, right? Especially that style of cake. While I don't know what it is it reminds me of banana bread somewhat, which does indeed look dry once it's no longer hot from the oven. It's just how the cake looks, and the crust on the outside isn't burned, it's browned. Cake WILL settle once it's out of the oven, which takes away it's "fresh from the oven" luster and look. The cake is fine, you're all just looking for something to point out. Anyway, the way the cake looked at the end was GORGEOUS!!! Not over the top, but it catches your eye! The slight off-colouration is a nice touch, not to mentioned the feathered white icing design!

Even if it was dry, they use simple syrup before frosting the cake to give it back some moisture. So it isn't dry, the fondant gives it a productive layer that helps seal in that moisture as well. So it's not the end of the world if it's dry.

The open bar, buffet or sit down dinner served by waitstaff The bride & groom's 1st dance, the father-daughter dance, the groom & mother, the bride & father-in-law dance, the father's toast, best man's toast, the maid of honor toast. Everybody dance. Three or four HOURS later, they cut the cake! for 'dessert'! IF cake is dessert, bride & groom should cut the cake 1st so wait staff can finish cutting & plating it so guests can have 'dessert' at their leisure. I love this woman. She is a phenomenal example of work ethic and humility. Humility is the foundation on which people evolve. She gets it on an intrinsic level.
