How to Make a Remote On and Off Switch with a Contactor - Latching Circuit

Ғылым және технология

Making a latching circuit with a contactor presented by Katie Nyberg for Galco TV. Buy the items featured in this video at 800-337-1720 or visit: www.galco.com/get/Contactors?s...
This video will show you how make a latching circuit or a on/off switch with a contactor or relay. With a latching circuit, the contacts will remain on once input power is applied and will remain on until the connection is broken. For this set up you will need a contactor, auxiliary contact, normally open pushbutton switch and a normally closed pushbutton switch. A relay can be used in place of a contactor as long as there is an auxiliary contact that will close when the coil is actuated.

    What if the load is 120VAC, but the contactor coil is 24VAC?

  • @GalcoIndustrial

    @GalcoIndustrial

    7 жыл бұрын

    In your case you will have to wire the load circuit and latch circuit separately. You will also need a 24volt supply in addition to the 120volt supply we demonstrate here, ok? OR,,, you can replace the coil in the relay/contactor with a 120volt rated 1. After that the wiring diagrams are the same.

    Thanks. I have two older sprecher + schuh CA3-23-10 and CA3-16-10. Any idea who would make a 120VAC coil for them? Although I think it would be cheaper just to buy a new contactor.

    Sure, just give us a call at 800-521-1615 and ask for sales, they can tell you if we carry those coils, and what they cost or the cost of a new contactor, ok?
