I think there's a way you could make the legs move individually, using the 2 motors facing sideways. Use some sort of curved track and the motor crawls through the track making the legs apparently move.

To move the arms independently we can use the mechanism used in wipers of cars and the stand fans. The only difference is we have to make the 2 sets arms separately.

Acho que dá pra fazer as pernas andarem. Um pequeno motor, na traseira, e ligado ao motor, penos pistões, posicionada para impulsos na horizontal. As pernas, são ligadas, com molas, perto do abdômen ou numa articulação, mais próximo do abdômen. E fio de arame, para como fosse tendões, ligado no pistão e nas pernas. Parece que nessa idéia, tem que ter um pistão para as pernas da direita e outra engrenagem, para as pernas da esquerda, ou um pistão, para cada perna.

dude, bit misleading don't you think? why is the legs moving on the first spider then the one you make is just a vibrating spider? I was a bit gutted to see the end like this.
