How To Make A Red Hood Costume!
Ойын-сауық
Hey guys! Today I break down my Red Hood Costume and show you how I made it. I actually didn't think I was going to be making this video in time for Halloween, so I didn't film the actual build process. (mistake.) So I did my best to show you guys everything. Here are the links to Evil Ted's website and all the materials.

You know your grandmother is a badass when she assists you in making a Red Hood costume.
That chest piece is sick! I'm not really feeling the helmet though. Red Hood helmets always end up looking so big. When you look at Red Hood in the comics the helmet always looks so small that it's impossible to imagine a head actually fitting inside of it. I've been trying to come up with a way of constructing a helmet with a more true to the comics appearance. I'm thinking the only way this is going to be possible is if I make a 2 piece helmet, and pretty much measure it out to where it sits right against my face. Of course then I'll have to deal with the ventilation problems, but I think there might be a way of hiding the ventilation holes around the eyes. Trial and error I guess is the only way I'll find out for sure. In all honesty I was just going to go with a Red Hood t-shirt for the torso, but after seeing your video I'm totally going to be attempting that chest piece. That thing is a work of art!
Your bullet holes look way better than I've ever been able to get. Glad to see another Evil Ted fan. If you make more tutorials of your work, I think your following will grow!

@@ctothek3660 Fan: Thats pretty good dude Ctothek: I could say thank you a million times over and it still would not be enough to show you how appreciative I am of you. No letter could encompass the love I have for you, and no words could describe the way I feel when I'm with you. Words on a screen are simply just words, but my hope is that these words give you some idea as to the hold you have on my heart. First off, thank you for simplicity. My mind is constantly cluttered and my thoughts move like the speed of light. I talk fast, I think fast, and sometimes I move through life a little too fast. You help me slow down. With you, all the stress and all the migraines are transparent. I am numb to them now. Speaking of migraines... Thank you for your care. Thanks for always asking me if I need anything when I'm not feeling well, and thanks for helping me through the worst of the worst. Whenever I'm feeling down, you make it your mission to cheer me up, and yeah, you usually succeed. I think everyone should have someone like that in their life because your support is simply a light in the darkness of my universe. Thank you for all the laughs. You are truly the funniest person I know. Never once have I faked a laugh in front of you, because your humor is more than just one thing; sometimes it's awkward, sometimes your jokes are just plain awful, but they are always genuine and always laughable. I have this theory; you always say you love when I laugh, and when I smile, so I think you use your humor as a tool... but hey, I'm not complaining. Thank you for the future. Considering my mind moves so fast, I imagine it would be difficult to keep up with me sometimes. Let's just say hypothetical situations are more apparent in my life than they should be, but when I talk about the future, you do not shut me down or seem displeased with it. Instead, you go along with it. I cannot wait for my future, because I know it will have you in it. And lastly, thank you for being you. Because of you, I have learned to see the good in people, and more importantly, to see the best within myself. I used the word 'genuine' to describe your humor, however I can also use it to describe you. I have never met anyone as kind, sociable, and honest as you. With you, happiness is simple, and it doesn't seem so difficult to achieve. I love who you are and I know I am so lucky to have you in my life. So thank you... for everything.
Did anybody actually do this because this is really hard and I don't know how anybody would do that, that's amazing.

Nice man!
I plan on trying to be Red Hood for Halloween this year, but I wanted to do the version of him where he had the brown hoodie with the logo on it. He had it in "Batman & Robin: Eternal." I have to admit, your DIY helmet looks a lot better than some of the stuff seen on the Internet that people are trying to sell. I was tempted to drop over $200 to buy one of the detailed helmets made with fiberglass, but that's just too much money. I plan on trying to get started on this soon. I've even been exercising more to try and look better for Halloween. Hopefully it turns out well, and thanks again for the amazing video, cause your outfit looks awesome!

Hi Jason
The costume looks really good! I just believe that it would be more helpful if you actually showed us the process so that no unnecessary mistakes are gonna be made. It's hard for you to do it now that the costume's practically ready but I'd appreciate it! Still, really nice work ;)

Hey great video, but can you do like a step by step that would be very helpfull, love the vid
hum I want to try and do one of this foam helemts but none of the templates get the shape I want
you should probably do it again with some better seem work lol also instead of Velcro you could leave the back portion as a separate piece and having it attached by nemoidium magnets inside the seem of the separate pieces. makes pretty nice tight fits for around the back of your head. I have mine right around the back of the neck and it fits perfectly if done right.
