Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hello Everyone!
Today I show you how to make a power hammer machine using drill machine. This diy power hammer machine is powered by the drill machine the rotary motion from the drill machine is converted into reciprocating motion by a simple mechanism. I used chain drive to power this homemade power hammer machine. This homemade power hammer machine is very useful for blacksmith and forging. This diy drill power hammer can be very easily portable from one place to another place. The construction of this homemade power hammer machine is very simple. I personally enjoyed very much while making this homemade power hammer machine. This diy power hammer machine works good, you can see the result in this video. This drill hack works good. I hope you guys enjoyed this making of homemade power hammer machine.

The method works like a plunger
It works well on cold pipe or tube. I think you’ll need a lot more power and weight for anything solid. Good job.
Interesantă invenție. Ciocanul mai greu e mai bun la fierul forjat .

Hola, ¿Me podrías decir que materiales son los que usaste?
This is exactly the type of hammer I want. Your'e simplicty is outstanding in making this . You are agenius . One day I will try make one . I would however try and put a ballbearing were the hammer handle meets the cam to reduce friction.

You have too much hammer lift, also need to ad another ramp to lift the hammer twice as much. Also a shorter stronger spring.
this is amazing the latest knowledge from you. may God bless your life

Really cool. If you increase the front spring I think you will get more force. I would be interested to see what it would do with some 1/2 hot roundstock, too.

Well I'd say it won't win any races for speed but it works exactly as it's been designed. Ok bigger spring heavier head but was it built as a heavy use tool or something to assist and save ya arm from bashing a hammer about maybe flat material shaping . It's a good tool all the same , it's simple and portable and it works. Nice job . Thanks for sharing .

Sorry bro I'm not having the design plan
Not bad. However, in the interest of reducing wear to the bearings in the drill, I would have mounted the driving sprocket in pillow bearings just like the driven sprocket. Hand drills are not designed to cope wth more than incidental lateral forces. Also a replaceable doubler on the pipe, to allow for wear from your cam, would be a good addition. Otherwise in just a few months of regular use you will be replacing the pipe.

Would a bench grinder with double chains works as well?
@growleym504
6 ай бұрын
@@jonathanresurreccion2995 A bench grinder in normal operation does have lateral forces applied to the spindle, so I would say a heavy duty bench grinder is probably up to the task and should last for quite a while. On the other hand, it must be said that angle grinders are cheap to replace. I just think it is good engineering practice to support rotating parts in heavy duty bearings when lateral loads are to be applied continuously..
So many things wrong w this video, can never be wrong at a man engineering his own stuff though 👍🏽👌🏽

Might be OK for cracking Walnuts, that would be its limit though.
If you raised the back of the pipe for the hammer you wouldn't need to have an angle on the hammer head. Would work better for a more even hit. I'd also get a used motor instead of the drill. More power and longer life.

Or you could put that tool to the side and just stick the ends of that pipe into the bench vise that you used to build this tool and use that to press them. Done.
nice.. but two strokes with that hammer manually would have gotten the job done on that pipe....

Hammer is striking way too soon and a lot of potential power is being lost. That rod on the pillow blocks and lifer should be lower than it is - so when the hammer hits the 'anvil' it full force is in use. Great project overall though - I love it. It had given me a few ideas! Keep on truckin!
