The buffet is having a Cinderella moment. It never ceases to amaze me how a new top, new feet and a coat of paint can change the perception of a piece of furniture. How funny would it be if the person who gave it away ended up buying, not realizing it was the same piece.

I heard somewhere that to ease in keeping your home clean get furniture that is raised off the floor to clean under it. Hi Andy, wow what a beautiful make over i honesly was on the edge of my chair to see how you would do this piece just because it was literally stone-age looking not just the top but those deep three dimensional details and as is usual you did not disappoint Andy wow i love it the colour is one of my favourite colour green shades and even the stain colour worried at first but it is gorgeous i love the planked top and the feet just pulled it all together perfectly, and actually I've been toying with the idea of redoing a couple of pieces of my own and am more inspired to do so now, I loved the intro as in all your intros you have a most wonderful theatrical way that I enjoy as much as seeing how you transform each piece you do or redo😅,take care all the best always Mary in Australia 🎄😊

This was great! I think the visual change is amazing and I like the final color it has now. I'm glad you kept the original hardware even though this looks very modern now. Is ANYONE surprised that the evil twin likes the ruby-red slippers best ?? I wasn't ! You were absolutely right : the architectural details really shine after you were done. I was also pleased to see the brass hardware returned - no offence to any modern style accents, but I like the fairytale style of these haha. The golden bees on white paper were also a delight ! What will you do with the faux-slate slab you didn't use ? It seems like both a special resource (too good for the skip) and an exquisite challenge! Loved the easter egg of the bunnies on the carpet pillow at the end, taking a break from their work on the Cinderella mirror ;-)

Nice job great tutorial. I found if I used a Pre-stain first, then stain the wood piece it really helps with even coverage. I’ve done this a lot to my pieces and what a different. 🤗
