I love your whimsy and your rejection of ABSOLUTE purity, which - let's face it - usually doesn't happen since even the most stalwart take-it-back-to-the-wood types usually have to paint unsaveable wood. I love the girly pastels!

What I find hilarious is that I know a couple wood purist and their homes are full of painted furniture (one actually has a lot of black a steel modern pieces) 🤦🏻‍♀️ I think a lot of it is just wanting to complain about in the comments section or just people who love bringing a little rain cloud into the comments

Wow ! I think they should give you your own TV show ! I love old furniture , what a lovley way to save these pieces we live in such a throw away culture , nothing better rhan a pop of colour , no wonder it sold so quick , I think you should start singing your pieces , I feel you channel is going to get big quick ! ❤

Girrrrl. This channel is changing my world. I have a 60's TV cabinet that feels shameful to paint BUT after seeing this video I realize that it is the curly q wood patterns that I did not want to cover up. Because of this video I now know I have options!!!

I’m currently working on a burned piece, ever so slowly for my art studio storage. This makes me feel so much better. I painted our buffet Dixie Belle’s beautiful antebellum blue and then realized it was “too much” for the room (it hoarded all of the attention). So I immediately repainted it.

So...the first colour freaked me out, so when you decided to repaint I said "Thank you baby Jesus!" Then you pulled out the new colour and I yelled at the screen, "Noooo!" I don't think you heard me because you kept on painting. When you did the reveal I thought, "See...I told you that colour was going to be stunning!" Lol.

I have used a lot of body filler on cars. The more hardener you use the faster it will dry. Try using less hardener and you will have longer working time.

You might want to consider not layering on so much. It will save you some sanding time later. You can wipe with a damp cloth to smooth it.

I follow about 50 flippers but you are my new favorite! Love your personality and when I grow up I want to be just like you. I'm 60 now so I'm thinking that is just a dream haha. I love that coral color and want to use it on something but it may be too much color for a piece of furniture.

I personally love pink. My bedroom is pink and sage green - sage green walls and pink accents link my blanket ladder. I took an old high boy headed to the dump, took out the drawers and made shelves and use it in my kitchen especially for my cast iron. I painted it pink, used DB crackle and then apothecary color on top. I also added moulds and transfers but I love it!

When I couldn’t finish painting something: I used to put my paintbrushes and rollers(still on the handle) into a Ziploc bag, squeezed the air out, taped tightly around the part that stuck out of the bag….then put them in the fridge. When I was ready to resume, I’d pull them out, let them sit for a few minutes. (This saves from washing out the brushes and rollers every time. I’ve even had them in the fridge for a month or more!)

The color change in this project reminds me of the time I painted our freshly de-wall-papered and de-chair-railed dining room what I thought would be a warm, welcoming terra cotta. My husband and I sat and sat and sat in that room off and on for a few days. In the daytime it was the color I imagined; however, at night with the chandelier lighting, the room glowed. Not a cozy glowing, but a radiating, eye-hurting buzz! Had to repaint. Could not live with it. A nice "bagel" was a better choice. And as you noted, it was the investment of time which cost me the most!

Love the change! When I saw you removing all the brass I felt a little sad but it is better and current. The bright color on a small piece will brighten whatever wall they choose. I need something like that in my house. Maybe I’ll have the courage to use an interesting color the next time I paint something.
