    Thank you so much!!! It was just what i needed ♡♡♡ Recently I noticed my favourite brush has cured gel on it (it doesn't have a cap so it may have cured with indirect sunlight or my desk lamp). It was a mess, I didn't know what to do. I ended up using acetone and monomer to get rid of the cured gel but now it's not the same. I'm going to try that hot water trick you mentioned and I'll stay away from brushed without cap from now on 😂

    10:08 The term "brush conditioner" comes to mind. I'm an artist, we also do this to high quality brushes before the 1st use, and after every cleaning to retain the intended brush shape/bristle behavior!

    Ohhhh! So glad you are at the nail art stage, I can't wait to see what's in store next week! I have 3 art brushes so far (gotta start somewhere!) and it'd be great to know what to use them for to get the best out of them. I bought Line It! and a couple of gelplay gels by Akzentz and have been experimenting with animal print and flowers, but even with the L.E. dot I'm experiencing curing problems so having some advice on technique and the best gels for the job will be invaluable. I'm a new tech and still at the super early stages with everything (I took the plunge back in August, partly because of your channel and your supportive and thorough tutorials - I just woke up one day and thought, why not? I can do this!). Thanks Liz X

    Very interesting. Love the fact that you always explain why of everything so it's just not something you "have to do" there is a reason for it, and that makes learning a lot easier. Thank you so much for your videos. P. S. Can you tell how you make you cleanser? Thanks.

    Thank you these tips were really helpful. Also, I notice that when I pick up gel the drop is really not at the end of the brush but somewhere down and there is a teeny tiny bit of bristle on top so I have to keep the brush flat to draw instead of pointy

    Thank you. I have definitely messed up a few brushes by trying to trim them myself and the lack of knowing how to care for them. Luckily they were inexpensive cause I couldn't afford the more expensive ones 🤑😂

    As an artist all my brushes I use a bar of soap to shape and store brushes. It will prob work for nail art brushes too.

  • @TheNailHub

    @TheNailHub

    I would not recommend using soap as it will interact with the gel. Best thing to use is nail gel and keep them away from light. :)

    Does the "gel" work with no problems in painting on canvas or "warhammer" type miniatures??? I would like to use this "gel" on my extreme detail brushes that I use when painting miniatures, or does this gel only work with "nail art type acrylics"! It would be great if I could use this on my detail brushes for miniatures, then use my acrylics by the company called "Golden" or "liquitex" - I just want to know there are NO ADVERSE effects, if I were to use "artist acrylics" -- the kind used on canvases and all kinds of miniatures!? What do you think??

    I use both and like both. Really just personal preference. I don't notice a large difference when painting. They just feel slightly different.
