I work setting my egg in a shot glass, It makes it easier to turn and I don't have to lay the egg down when working :D I draw circles around my egg or balls so I know where each layer should go, and my lines make an X. I also iron all of my squares for sharper edges. I get my eggs on clearance after Easter too :D

I'm having to order off of Amazon in December! Lol
I was so afraid that my grandchildren might take one of these off the tree and then pull the pins out that I used hot glue to glue each cloth square and then hot glue them onto the white base. It took way longer but safer for kids at my home
I watch this video 3 weeks ago and I have been obsessing about it ever since. Finally, today I went and bought the supplies to make my own. The only thing I can't find in the middle of December is Styrofoam eggs. Apparently they're easy to find around Easter. Thank God for Amazon!
Just found this. Great video.
I had so much fun making this ornament. It's a gift for my sister and brother in-laws since they moved to Arizona from Oregon. I think they will love the concept of pine branches, snow falling, and snow covered holly branches. 🥰
Directions so easy to follow.Staci remembers every little detail. Evelyn
Gorgeous. I was sure this was complicated but it isn't. Can't wait for the Christmas one now.
I love the depression glass you are using to hold your pins and other things in. The tutorial is fantastic also.

My Mom was a florist and very creative. She came up with this ornament in the late 1960s. She used ribbon for hers, still have and cherish her ornaments!
I’m so glad to see the folded-fabric ornaments come back! They were very popular in the early 90s; I must’ve made dozens for craft shows. ETA: luckily for us, this time around we have the internet and good teachers like you!
Love this! I’ve made a couple and have gotten a lot of compliments.
Bless you ,you have made this project so easy xx
That is gorgeous! I'm going to try one today. Thank you!
Such an elegant ornament! Thank you so very much for the wonderfully done tutorial! I can’t wait to get started!
So love this pinecone and really enjoyed how you explained everything so clearly, thank you for sharing.
Great instructions! I love how you make your bows.
Can not wait to get started!!! This pinecone ornament is simply beautiful!

I read your article about the ordeal with all of your foam shapes! I am so sorry! Do you have any suggestion where I might find the correct size egg foam shape to make this ornament? What are the dimensions I should look for? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you!
I made one of these years ago, without sequins or beads, and this is exactly the tute I need right now. I bought a blush tree with an end of season sale last year and I want to make a shabby chic-themed tree with calico pinks, ivory and burgundy fabrics. Thanks for the great refresher and tips to make mine more fancy.
So loved this!!! Love to how detail she goes!

Hello there how are you?
I watched one of your ornament shows about 2 years ago. You had me hooked from the first 10 minutes. Thank you for sharing your beautiful ornament s for us who have no original creation genes. I must have made 2 dozen of the quilted star styrofoam ornaments. I lost count on the pinecones. Thank you for all your help. No one has been disappointed with the ornament they received from me via you!
Beautiful oranament, clear and direct instructions plus pin saving tips and many more tips. Thank you very much.

I adore these. Thank you!!!
Saw these from a neighbor many years ago. They have always been in the back of my mind as to how she created these. Neve occurred to me to google to find out if there was a video. Am so happy that you showed up on my feed tonight. Now I will be able to make my own. Thank you for such explicit directions.
Very pretty! It's an excellent idea for using up leftover jelly rolls from quilts. The bows on top are pretty too. It would look nice to have a few ribbon streamers too.
This is amazing. I can't wait to make some to put in my Christmas wreath
Love this egg,so pretty and you explain things so easily, thankyou
Can't wait to try it. Your work is beautiful
Of all the Christmas crafts projects I’ve seen in my life, and I have seen thousands of them, this little pine cone is the most creative one. Thank you for sharing your idea. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Super pretty! Thank you for sharing this lovely tutorial.
Beautiful! U Did An Excellent Job! 💖💖
I’m so happy that your channel showed up in my search for fabric Christmas decorations! I just got through searching through boxes in my studio closet, and I found 9 of your ornament subscription boxes from 2016 & 2017 that I never got around to making. I’m not sure if your channel has the exact tutorials for those ornaments, but I know you show enough instructions for others to get me through making my ornaments. Nine gifts without needing to buy anything else = A BIG WIN! ✌🏼💜🛼

Hi Beckie! Just in case the tutorials here on youtube DON'T cover the kits you have, you can also get them on our website. I've built a new website since those kits were released, and I can set you up access for all those tutorials/ebooks. I just need your email to send everything to you. Can you send me your info here?: ornamentgirls.com/contact/
I love this! Its easier than what I made years ago using triangles
I've been making these for years. Christmas plaid with glitter fabric makes beautiful ornaments.

Beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing. Easy directions. ⚘️⚘️❤️
Going to get foam when store opens This is beautiful
I have been making these for approx 40 years. The original "pattern" that I saw was called "prairie folded ornament" but, over the years, I developed my own style and called them "Victorian Christmas ornaments". I started out with green/red/gold Christmas ribbons and decorated the tops with holly leaves and berries and a narrow ribbon bow. They became more ornate and more Victorian and sometimes a little shabby with long narrow ribbons draping over the sides. I loved doing these...they were easy to create as I listened to a TV show and they sold well at craft shows. I also custom-made them for friends in a solid color to match their decor.
Hi, I love watching your videos, so well presented and includes all the information, that is needed. I used to make these for craft fairs, before I got arthritis and what I would do with the top, if I ran out of fabric, pins and boy some of the tops were really wonky :) I would cut a small circle of the same fabric and fabri tac it to the top. Of course, that means that I had to use wider to ribbon to make the bows, to cover it up more, just something I found useful on a few occasions. I wish I had known about you years ago, I am really loving watching someone doing what I cant any more. Thanks Jane
Beautiful design and thanks for sharing ❣

Simply amazing. Tip......when you get to the end of your row, take that pin out of the first one you laid down in the row and lift it up and pin it on the right side of the fold so the pattern stays the same. Open side pinned to folded side. Just an idea.
Beautiful!!!!
This makes a very pretty pine cone. I love the little beads on it and the way you hide the pins. I have material like the pine cones and pine needles in gold and cream. So will make some cones for a bowl. Ty
Going to make one in browns tomorrow. Thank you for a very descriptive tutorial. You have a very nice voice. Look forward to next project.

I love you job. Please make a videos about how to do concrete pinecones for the garden. Hugs from Mexico 🇲🇽
Love this one , I have done it with gold paper in the past very interesting and fun to do . Only difference is that when I come to the end of one tow .I remove the pin and put the last borner on the left under and put Bach a pin so that the pattern continue the same everywhere. Well done and your teaching is excellent

Made my first pine cone ... man the styrofoam was so hard, each pin was a chore. Nothing like the round quilted one I made right after. They both turned out wonderful, if a bit large at 4 inches. Will have to snag me some 3 inch eggs and balls. Thank you for the wonderful tutorials ❤️❤️

Collette, it sounds like you might have been using the 'SmoothFoam' brand, which is great for many things, but not these! They are super dense and will just kill your fingers. Glad they turned out great though!! :)
Cute project.

Luv the pine cone! Also yr pink dishes as I am a collector of the pink depression glass. My daughter and sister collect the green depression glass. I also collect Fire King dishware and mostly the orange color but have some pearl white and some blue. Also like the jadeite but don't have any. I plan on trying to make some pine cones. Thanks.

Just found your channel! Love these ornaments, my mom made these about 30 years ago, I still have mine. Little idea tip- she made hers from wide ribbon. So mine are shiny!

Hi there how are you?
I love this ornament. I have decided to use my husband's shirt and the dresses I wore at our wedding 50 years ago. I will give these ornaments to our kids and grandkids for Christmas. My husband is excited to do this also. My only worry is the shirt is very lightweight cotton and the dress is a heavyweight material. They are not at all alike. The Colors will be beautiful. They are blue solid, and the shirt is cream and blue. I just don't know about the differences in fabric weight. What do you think?
@susanjenningsjones
9 ай бұрын
What a lovely idea. I think it will be ok to use different weight fabric. You could use light interface on the shirt fabric
As a safety precaution (safety for the pinecone) I put a dab of fabric glue on the pin holding the hanger. Pin glued in, no pine cones dropping off.
Wow. I’ve never seen anything like this.
What kind of pins do you use? These are beautiful, love the Easter egg ones as well!💓
❤
