I made a gum wrapper chain so big it would wrap around my house. I kept it for a while but ended up throwing it away. I would get gum wrappers from my classmates. Fun! Fun!
Learning how to use a sewing machine to make pretty things at 52 years old and I just found you...love your channel! Can't wait to try this tomorrow.
THANK THE GODS I found you! Lunch today and my project went south (like Deep South love my sister like no other south). These are the perfect scrap busters. These are Unique and I’m over the moon!!!!! Thank you for making this video and explaining each step so clearly. My day is saved! Big Mahalo’s!!!!
Ooooh Laa laaa! Gorgeous!
I made mine prior to watching your video. I think you’re instructions are easier. I’m grateful I found you. You are a hoot.
Even if I hated the project, WHICH I LOVED, I just subscribed because YOU ARE ADORABLE!!!!
Thank you so much for the fun video!!! I finally got one made, yay now to make more.Your sence of humor is fun.
Hi. Just wanted to let you know I'm here because of Kate's suggestion. Her channel, "The Last Homely House East of the Sea" shows her making these, and she gives you credit for showing her how!
I found you from the last homly house, today 11/18/22, and am soooo grateful for your originating tutorial! You have so much energyand excitememt! Many thanks
Seems simple enough because of your great tutorial. Can barely sew a button. Will probably make those as Christmas gifts for my neighbors and health care providers. Thank you.
This is GORGEOUS!!! You are one of the very few people who make quilting cool. I mean, WE know it's cool, but it has a sort of stuffy reputation, you know? You are a born teacher. This world would be a darker place without your bright light.
You are sooo entertaining..........love your videos!!!! so easy to learn from you!!!!
I woke up early, when I should be sleeping... Instead of being mad about it you had me smiling! These will be so cute for my kids in the classroom, for their holiday gifts. Thank you!
This is the first year I've decided to celebrate christmas in almost 3 decades and I've decided to make lots of ornaments for the tree myself. Love this star! Am going to second hand shops on the weekend to buy old clothes so I can use the fabric. Thanks so much for this and the joy you take in making them.
enjoyed your video so much. I watched another video and got so lost in the folding technique. I just only got so far. your video was so much better. I hope that I can try again and make these.
Thanks for the reminder. I saw this last year but it never gets old. All my love to you and your family. Stay well. 💕
Great video, easy to follow and fun to watch. Love the sound effects - tchoo, tchoo, tchoo.
Finally. This is the most conclusive and distinct instruction on making this star. Thank You!
Hi Matthew you are absolutely brilliant, not only are you a superb teacher but you are a talented showman too. You always brighten my day and make me giggle, I am so glad I found your channel, love you loads. The stars are just gorgeous just like you. Sending you lots of hugs and loves from the U.K. xxxxxxxxxxx Dorothy 😘🙋🏻❤️
Mathew. I love watching you so much. Your humour and enthusiasm is very infectious. Your laugh is so unique. The world needs people like you. Thank you bright star
Omg! I've been trying to find something to make with some fabric given to me by a close friend. The fabric was her mother's & when her mom passed, she gave it to me. I wanted to make little keepsakes for her & her siblings. This is so PERFECT & just in time for Christmas. Thank you so much for sharing 💕
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love your positive energy! I made these with my best friend as part of our annual Christmas get together. We made them in red and white and they look like ornaments from Sweden! So glad I found your video!
Brilliant, I now have a stocking filler for the adult’s ... jazz hands 🤗🤗🤗 ... you have kept me busy the last few months, I appreciate your page and the work you do . Keep smiling . 😁
Thanks for the clear video! I made a boatload of these using 3"x12" strips of Christmas wrapping paper! I must admit...they are quite impressively adorable! I will be putting them on Christmas presents as a "tag" that the recipient can take home and hang on their tree!
I did not know you were on KZread! Glad I found you and this🍀✨👁️
Finally I understand how to fold the star. Thank you!
I made four of these for my daughter-in-law and grandbabies and they love them. Thank you so much and God bless you and yours.
I found this video this morning and I just finished my 6th star this afternoon. They are going to be given to my colleagues for Christmas.
Thank you Matthew, going to try this on the weekend with my granddaughter..Love your fabric!!
You, Sir, are a delight!!
Ahh! I stumbled on this video and immediately fell in love. What a beautiful ornament. It’s almost 2 am and I want to run out and get the fabric and glue...now. I must be patient. Thanks for the inspiration and your infectious personality. I really needed it.

HI from Scandinavia (Denmark). We usually make them with paper, so was amazed when I first spotted your video. I have now made 13 pieces for family and friends as Christmas presents. I can't wait to hear/watch their reactions 😉. Thank you so much for this 🙏❤😊
I love the fabric stars. They are super cute. I'm gonna have to make some for my tree this year. Thank you for sharing.
This was my first time watching you and I was cracking up. Loved your enthusiasm and your project. Going to go find more tutorials. Keep them coming. I quilt so it’s great to see what I can do with my scraps of fabrics that I just can’t throw out. No waste. Love that. “Piece” and love ❤️🤗.
Dude! I love your happy vibe - I've been making all kinds of these... Branched out to bias tape & satin binding - keep up the great tutorials! ♥♥♥
Absolutely LOVE your videos!!! I never want to make something until I watch you do it....now I'm obsessed!!! lol Thanks Matthew!!!
This was the BEST video. Mr. Domestic's video was fun to watch; he's funny, and he REALLY did a GREAT job of showing the step by step process! I'm planning on making some fabulous fabric stars!
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful star. I just made my first one right along with your video and it came out AMAZING. I couldn't find the fabric spray as i really had no idea what I was looking for ( I told the lady is smelt like Floraly goodness) I don't work with fabric so I really couldn't tell her much more then that. With that said the lines held up perfectly with just an iron. Your instructions were very clear and easy to follow. THANK YOU THANK YOU.
These beautiful little stars are so doable, thank you 😊 xxx
It's the sound effects for me! LOVED this! Just made my first one along with you... so fun! Thank you!
I love these and watching you make them sure peps up my day! You are a ton of fun and knowledge, always bringing us something great to work on. I’m loving your channel. Thank you for everything you do!
You explain things so well. I love sewing with you. Thanks
I just HAVE to make a load of those exquisite little stars. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
This was a fun tutorial. You thread your needle exactly like I do! Thanks for making me smile 😁
Wow so fun and relaxing. I used the back of my seam ripper to tuck in those points. It really helped. Might have to cut up some strips so I can busy myself with making ornaments at my craft fair table. Great tutorial!!!
Thank you I decided to use red and green paper, and it worked. The kids will have fun making stars🥰💋
Folding the fabric in the first tree steps reminds me of folding the stick of gum wrappers to make the loooong chain. :-)
Oh my or in norsky.. oh ny, oh ny! Coming from norwegian heritage, this is something Ive seen along the way... on trees..or wherever, nobody ever showed me how to make them so Im now going to do so since I have been hoarding fabric after getting the quilting bug! And can use some of it FINALLY,... they are so nice .. if I master it Im teaching my great grandchildren this Christmas eve! Its my promise.. thanks very much..BEST♥️cheryl

I like the star's that you made they are beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us.
You are amazing! Thank you so much! I have always wanted to know how to make these! I am grateful that your instructions are so clear! I was given a set of these that were made of thick pastel colored waxed paper years ago! I don’t know what happened to them through the years but I have several print styles of high-end golden - glittery glamorous wrapping paper that I want to use to make these! Wish me luck 😄
You are just the best! Your laugh is contagious and you are just so much fun! Thank you for spreading your positivity and happiness!! The world needs more of you! Merry Christmas!
This looks really fun, so I'm going to make one to see how it goes. LOVE your infectious Laugh.. WE all need more laughing.
