Moss poles are super cheap and easy to make and are fantastic for your climbing plants. In this video, I show you how I make my self-watering moss poles.
I've got quite a few of these homemade moss poles around the house and I've found the plants only take a few weeks to anchor in and within months are climbing towards the top. Planting more plants around the base makes them thicker, but giving them the space to grow and climb, along with a little pruning when they reach the top, will make for thick, lush poles.
Truth be told, I don't know exactly where this design came from. I've seen a few different creators make similar things across different platforms over the years but I haven't seen anyone make a pole quite like this one. If I'm wrong - I apologise, I didn't intend to copy and claim anyone's design as my own, and I've used a few different plant pole design ideas out there and used them to make my moss poles.
