HOW TO MAKE A miniature BRICKWORK SMOCKING DESIGN | Canadian Smocking Pattern | Didsbury Art Studio
In this video I was curious to try a miniature smocking design as I haven't done one of these for a while. So I have used my half inch square grid for this one and I have done the Brickwork pattern. I hope that you enjoy this one and remember to hit the like.... thanks for watching!
MEASUREMENTS of fabric for today's Brickwork pattern I used were:
29cm across and 28cm down.
SHRINKED TO:
16cm across and 12cm down.
What I was listening to on YT whilst creating....

Love your kitty 🐱
Nice 😍
Hi, Sally: Marvelous as always! I love the little bricks--they make me think of little dog bones. I like your idea of dyeing the fabric. Perhaps dyeing after sewing the smocking pattern would achieve some interesting variations--I'm thinking the dye might pool nicely in the low areas. My cat, Doris, is sitting on the chair next to me and thanks you for the Layla cameo! ~Mike
