Should a woman just value a man and feel lucky to have him because he's a man? What if he's an abusive man? What if he doesn't have a job and doesn't treat you well? It's the same with women. If he doesn't think you're worth it, he won't fight for you, pursue you, or want to have you in his life. You shouldn't just accept people into your life and feel lucky to have them there because they're the opposite sex.

Hiya, thanks for your good reply. I actually had a guy who did pursue me, and seemed to value me, and then turned out to be how you said, so I got rid of him before I met him in person and after only one month of online dating him. I value myself and love me. I am a really busy person and also have not got time for games, either he likes me or doesn't, either he wants to communicate with me, get to know me, and become my best friend, or doesn't. I haven't got time for this push pulling scenario ( or pulling back I should say). I know all dating coaches recommend it. It always seems strange to me that if two women want to be best friends and hang out a lot it all seems fine and okay, same with two guys, but if a couple spends lots of time together because they just naturally like being in each other's company, there needs to be this push pull thing going on. I think I will be single for long time as I don't have time for messing around. I also believe if I can make time for a guy and I do so much stuff, then I think he can make time for me.

You have misunderstood. In the courting stage, it's actually not very much work for us women at all. We just need to lean back and let the guy do all the chasing. Meanwhile, we continue to live our lives and *don't change a thing*. Your career, your friends, your hobbies/interests, etc - none of that changes just because a guy is chasing you. And if he misbehaves (was rude or insulting or tardy like always being late etc), then call him out on it and tell him you expect better. And if he doesn't change, drop him. And if he pulls away, leave him alone! He needs time to process stuff for himself. That's it! The common theme here basically is just *leave the guy alone to do everything*. And don't have sex until you both have emotional connection or have fallen in love (I'd go so far as to say don't do it until he commits to you). The real work starts with the relationship! How you manage each other and maintain the connection!

Ok I need answers here asap, last week we were lookin at his Twitter n then my eyes caught an old 2014 love conversation between him n his ex , n then scrolled it over. I didnt say anything there cuz his birthday was comin up in couple days. I did my homework, he still has her number, still has her in friends in social media. Im very hurt, weve been together almst 3 years , we been living together one year, n engaged. Perhaps he’s just not great with dates per se, or with dates that are evidently of no importance to him 😂. You could try “forgetting” a few dates that ARE important to him. If he wakes up and complains about that, then it’s conversation time.....!! If he doesn’t, he’s just not a time/date orientated type. Let him be the way he is. Relationship is not about setting out to change somebody. Above all, don’t let his apparent indifference stop you from celebrating your birthday PLEASE. I am, in the main, quite opposed to gentle ‘manipulation’ or subtle strategy when it comes to human relationship, except in rare instances when it is very much in the other person’s interest (for their ultimate protection) to gain an experiential insight into something. Often though people fail to make the connection, ie “they don’t get it” and it can all end in resentment and bitterness on their part - towards you. Live and let live, and leave if it becomes too damaging to yourself to continue in the relationship

Something in the strategy advocated in this video makes me feel uneasy. It is, after all a strategy. Sometimes strategies, especially when it comes to personal relationships are manipulation in disguise. Value yourself FIRST, ALWAYS. You cannot expect anyone else to discharge that duty. Valuing yourself means knowing yourself, your strengths and weaknesses and striving to be the very best you can be ALWAYS. This is self actualization as opposed to selfishness. You will be surprised at the “flow on” effects that particular “strategy” has.

What if we've been together for apx a year, living together 5 mo. Now he's showing some very strange behavior. Hot and cold, snappy, secretivly talking to his ex or female friends. Yet he does invest often in our relationship.

Love Lee: Pull away, move out, if he asks why, kindly say "I moved in thinking we were serious and moving toward common goals (like marriage if you want that, say it), now I'm not seeing your interest, effort, or devotion, so I have no reason to be here. I have a great life to live and deserve to find a mate ready to invest on a life together. So, if you decide that it's me you want, you know what to do and where to find me. Until then, I'm moving on to date others without you.". Then DO THAT, move on. Hell either fix it asap or he won't. Cry your tears, then put your big girl panties on and never move in with a guy again or even sleep with a guy again until his words and actions demonstrate that he is ready and willing to protect, provide, and commit to a life with you. P.S. I'm happily married to an AWESOME MAN but dated dummies before too, so my advice was used by me and won me my mate. I only went out with him when he said he was looking for a serious relationship leading to marriage. I only agreed to be exclusive after he convinced me he wanted ME specifically to be "the one" to build that future with. And, I only moved in after he put the ring on it and married me. It only took him 3 months to know I was a kind woman with high standards that he wanted to do anything to keep. I knew after I observed that he treated everyone kindly... his friends, his kids, his momma, his ex, the waiters, his boss. I knew after I heard him tell me his goals. I knew after his actions of service backed up his words to me. I knew after I examined how he lived his life before he met me (he'd been volunteering for 10 years every week before me, so it wasn't a temporary act to fool me). I knew after I decided I liked him the way he is and could accept him without changing him. I knew when I also loved him beyond what he could do for me financially or physically. I knew he was the one when he asked me to pray and read the Bible with him every day. I knew he was the one for me when he communicated his moral standards and once he became my best friend. God bless you to help you find the perfect mate for you. Pray about it. Seek God's will for your life and follow that first.
