Notion has been such a game changer for me, in so many areas of my life. Language study, video planning, art project organization, even just for journalling and helping me get this chaotic mess of a mind into one space where I can organize it later. I use it for literally all aspects of my life. I'm always curious to see how others use Notion. Figuring out what works for you and getting inspiration from others. I love Notion and can't recommend it enough! ❤

Been learning Mandarin for +2 years after six months study many years ago (wanted to resurrect the language). I have to say the combo Italki tutor + Notion to stick to complementary rss and self study made my level skyrocket the first three months. Great advice Elysse! Do you ever use audiobooks to improve your language? We share classic audiobooks and since I have started studying French we are going to look into sharing some French language audiobooks too!
are you curious of learning rarer more historical languages like latin, icelandic or greek, I have noticed you will start taking a look at Hebrew, are you focusing on learning Ladin? it would help with your spanish, plus it would help you to learn old spanish and middle spanish, amazing for reading el cantar de mio cid and Don Quijote.
you really inspire me to continue learning languages. i started learning french in the beginning of this year. i want to learn spanish, turkish, korean, russian, hindi, amhric. i love learning languages but i am afraid that i might get confused if i started learning two or three at once.

Hello !

In most cases, the reason for unsatisfactory results of learning a foreign language is a loss of interest in the student, or you have stopped at some stage of their training and began to "stomp in one place. Thus, the effort and time you have spent in the absence of new techniques will not allow progress in mastering the language. For example, if you spend your time and effort learning the alphabet for months on end, you will not learn to read, write, speak and understand the spoken and written language. Yuriy Ivantsiv in his book "Polyglot Notes. Practical Tips for Learning Foreign Language" writes that you should not selectively stop at one thing, and try to gradually move forward, without skipping anything and not jumping, developing all the necessary language skills for you proportionally. Only then will you get effective results. In your strategy for learning any information for you, including a foreign language, you should adhere to the following principle: you made a breakthrough - mastered the new information, then you need to take the time to consolidate the material and bring it to automaticity. The next step - learn new material and master it, and so on. "There are no secrets to success. It's the result of good preparation, hard work, and learning from your mistakes." Colin Powell. Many thanks to the author of the channel for the tremendous work in creating the instructional video. Thanks to such helpful videos, we have rapid progress in language learning.

In notion you can have databases that are related which is awesome for statistics or even just for to do lists etc. i use it a lot for my whole life. For languages i have different databases that are related like tasks, ressourced, activities, vocabulary etc. so in a task i did you can see the resources i used for this and what activity it is realted to. For example when i have an activity called „chapter one of book xy“ the task would be „worked in book for 30 min“ they are related and they are both related to the resource of the book. And the vocab is related to the source (activity) it came from. In the notes app you would have to change things in every view and its not automatically synced
