What a fun idea. One suggestion: Try punching the smallest holes first, then center your circle punch (upside down so you can see) over the smaller holes,

If you only put one circle on the top flap you can wrap the string right around the whole thing and wrap again on the same circle

You can sew on buttons instead for example (then you don't need the circle underneath, unless you want to)

I have a simple Canon MG7750, and technically, it's not supposed to be loaded with such card stock but I do it anyway...
