How to make a hand gold dredge! Super Easy!

I show you how to make a hand gold dredge. This can be used in conjunction with a gold pan.
This tool is useful for prospecting for gold on bedrock or dense rock, or areas where a shovel is not practical.

    I suggest putting a hole on the top side- I put mine in the 2" cap for the handle - that way you aren't fighting any air pressure and can tighten the heck out of your test plug. Your suction will be significantly better, and your material/water won't immediately drop out.

    Do you not sell your Tributary product anymore. If not, what kind of valve was used to reverse the flow into the bucket. How much was or is that setup. Thanks Joshua Kindest Regards Paul.

    Once I finally found Lowes and Home Depot employees that knew what a Plumber Test Plug was, both stores had them, albeit Home Depots were only in the 3" to 4" sizes. Thanks Joshua

    I Call it a mechanical Suction Nozzle, Even though the one that I have is made in Australia with a sticker on the side that says Yabbie pump. Great video thanks for sharing.

    Great job on the pump only in Australia do they call them yabbie pumps they are made to catch Yabbies in mud for fishing but good for gold too. I put a like and a sub cheers Glenno.😎👍

    Hi Matt - I'm having trouble with good suction - the text plugs at home depot are different- so I got several 2" rubber washers to compensate- but still not good sunction??

    Why didn't you put an end on it to reduce the 2" opening? If I want to get down into the crevices I need a much smaller end.

    You certainly could attach a nozzle. That would be ideal for small crevices. I wanted a wider capture area.
