How to make a hand gold dredge! Super Easy!
I show you how to make a hand gold dredge. This can be used in conjunction with a gold pan.
This tool is useful for prospecting for gold on bedrock or dense rock, or areas where a shovel is not practical.

I came back to this video a year later to share with a buddy - I’m still using the same dredge and it works like a charm!
I've made a little bit of a different design to break down and put in a backpack but was stuck on the plug part but I think you just solved my issue! thanks!
Awesome ! Quick, easy and Cheap !! Thank You..

I suggest putting a hole on the top side- I put mine in the 2" cap for the handle - that way you aren't fighting any air pressure and can tighten the heck out of your test plug. Your suction will be significantly better, and your material/water won't immediately drop out.

Do you not sell your Tributary product anymore. If not, what kind of valve was used to reverse the flow into the bucket. How much was or is that setup. Thanks Joshua Kindest Regards Paul.

Once I finally found Lowes and Home Depot employees that knew what a Plumber Test Plug was, both stores had them, albeit Home Depots were only in the 3" to 4" sizes. Thanks Joshua
Awesome! I’ll make one
Thanks , you made it and explained how to make it in a way I could understand. ❤

I have always wondered if a hand crank instead of suction by a pull would work better.
Ever try a nozzle like the Keene A22 or A23?
Great job on the pump only in Australia do they call them yabbie pumps they are made to catch Yabbies in mud for fishing but good for gold too. I put a like and a sub cheers Glenno.😎👍

A useful tool regardless of the name, lol! Thanks for watching, and thank you so much for the sub!
Hi Matt - I'm having trouble with good suction - the text plugs at home depot are different- so I got several 2" rubber washers to compensate- but still not good sunction??
Why didn't you put an end on it to reduce the 2" opening? If I want to get down into the crevices I need a much smaller end.
Gunna make one with two. Backflow preventers and hook a hose to directly feed my box

You certainly could attach a nozzle. That would be ideal for small crevices. I wanted a wider capture area.

Yes
But why?, buying these parts will cost you as much as buying an Australian stainless pump from Alvey or Wilson
That's got to be the worst band I've ever heard.
What about the end that goes in the water
