    Thank you so much! I’m so excited about this. I am traveling full-time in a small motorhome and don’t have very much counter space. I have my microwave and air fryer. I don’t like using the propane on the stove. This is my perfect solution to be able to have fried eggs again.😁

    Hi there! Lots of people don't like using the microwave (I personally don't mind it and use it). This is specifically for people who want to do it in an Air Fryer. It has nothing to do with what method is quicker or what method I think is the best. To your point though, I also have a video on how to do poached eggs specifically in the microwave. It is indeed very fast.

    Just cook it like I do in the video, you can remove it a little less time. But most of the time that is a result of overcooking. While you can cook a fried egg in the air fryer, like I show, I don't necessarily think it is the best way. Nothing beats the classic skillet way of cooking an egg. You can also lower the heat which will help cook the yolk without overcooking the egg white. Those little lacy bits around the edges are one of my favorite parts haha.

    You can definitely cook more at a time as long as they fit in the pan, but yes a little harder. But if the burner on your stove isn't working or if you don't own a burner/stove and have an air fryer, this is how to do it.

    Shames there’s no way to cook the top of the yolk, and still have a runny yolk. I can’t stand it if the top of the yolk isn’t cooked as you end up with what I call “snot” or uncooked goo 🤢 Watching your video has given me some ideas. I’m thinking of trying to add a little extra oil, then take out part way through to tip and hopefully spoon some onto the yolk …. fingers crossed 🤞🏻 that cooks the yolk but leaves it runny. My husband would eat them exactly as you’ve cooked so thank you, I will definitely be making him some ❤

Hot air fryers have their uses & I have one in my household ,but it’s a proper frying pan you need on a gas ring to knock up a decent full English breakfast . Several rashes of smoked back bacon ,4 thick Cumberland sausage , black pudding , 2 eggs , a few spoons of baked beans ,mushrooms ,tinned Italian plumed tomatoes .plus 4 or 5 rounds of toast & butter ,washed down with a couple of cups of strong coffee or tea . You can't fry anything in a Air Fryer, air fryers bake food just like any convection oven

  • @inthekitchenwithmatt

    @inthekitchenwithmatt

    5 ай бұрын

    Yes air fryers are literally small convection ovens. BUT NO they aren't exactly like other convection ovens because they are much much smaller and the heating element is much closer, so they do cook a bit differently in such a small confined space which is how it can mimic "frying" without the need for so much oil. Regardless this is how you cook an egg in one.

    Sorry! You really can't do this then. No biggy just use your skillet on the stovetop burner, unless it isn't working. You could try to use aluminum foil on the bottom of the basket, but I am guessing the egg will stick to it, even with a bit of oil on it. But might be worth a try. But if your hob is not going to be working for quite awhile, you may want to buy a cheap cake pan that will fit in your air fryer.
