Does second small parachute necessary to balance the egg? Since you test the drop inside your home there is no wind force but if I do it outside is it necessary? Also Do I have to extend the thread if I tie it to a cup?

If you want to tie an egg to the thread, make sure the diameter of the plastic bag is big enough to induce drag the string size as mentioned in the video, should be bigger than the diameter of the bag. And if it is a paper cup, un wouldn't be massive enough to pull the thread and produce enough resistance so attach something (battery) inside the cup so that there would be enough weight. no need to increase the thread length if you tie it without any tangles.

I wouldn't recommend attaching an egg since there's a high chance in might break when landing. But if you really want to, glue the thread to the egg (instead of tying) and increase the diameter of the plastic bag to produce enough drag
what is the diameter of the circle you had cut from the bag?

The diameter of the circle can be anything you prefer (depends on how big you want your parachute to be) But for reference, mine was 30 cm in diameter and the string was ~40 cm in length (should be bigger than the diameter of the circle.
Honestly garbage took me so long for string to not slip and when I finally made it it was garbage 0/10

Without a Battery, you can use a nut, a bolt, a toy, anything you want. But it should be massive enough to pull the parachute and keep it balanced.
