How to Make a Deer Hair Head around Dumbbell Eyes with Kelly Galloup

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This video was filmed last Spring before the Gartside Hopper video dropped, and somehow slipped though the rotation. In it Kelly will show you how to make quality deer hair heads around any sort of dumbbell eyes which can be frustrating when you are first getting into tying streamers.

Hello Mr. Kelly Galloup! I just recently got into tying streamers and I’ve watched nearly all of your videos.. some maybe a third or fourth time haha.. “any rate”, I’ve tried to emulate a few of your tried & true patterns such as the Dungeon and Flatliner, I genuinely appreciate the way you explain the process and I just wanted to thank you for what you’ve done for the fly fishing/tying industry.. I’d love to come visit your shop and stock up on some materials sometime. Whitefish is a crazy town but if you’re ever in the area I’d love to buy you a drink and shake your hand. -Dusty

Merry Christmas Kelly, I hope yours was good. Mine was great, I got a copy of Modern Streamers and Catching Shadows. I guess I'm all set for reading material for a while. Keep the good stuff coming.

Great instruction as always!! When you first spun the hair in front of the eyes, at 2:46, it looked like a chicken. i have a Rooster who looks like that, colors and all. Laughed out loud!!

I'm not sure Kelly's ever been right since he picked up his first fishing rod.
