I've always been curious when you get to the end of the bracelet and a lighter is used, isn't it likely to ruin the bracelet as you push where you went with the lighter?

If I'm making it for someone else who has a size 7-1/2 wrist, how do I know it will fit if he's not here for me to put it around his wrist with the first knot???????

I started with the exact same bracelet. Except I started tying from the Loop end. That way, you can still adjust the Stopper knot end when you get closer to finishing...if you've miscalculated wrist size. 👍 10:05 10:13

Another tip for melting ends is to use a ◆knurled tool◆ instead of a paracord smoothing tool or scissors. The knurled pattern on the metal gives a nicer textured finish to the melted ends. This helps to blend the cut ends with the texture of the cord's outer mantle. Try it; you'll like the results.
